Pros
PharmaLogics has created great opportunities for growth for me. When you succeed, you will be recognized and managers and training take a sincere interest in your professional development and are willing to work with you to help you reach your goals. Very inclusive and supportive environment and great culture.
Cons
Promotions are based upon business need, so can come quickly or take a while based upon what's going on in the market. This is to be expected in this industry, though.

Pros
-Unlimited PTO -Snack Boxes -Flexing hours
Cons
BEWARE if considering working here! PharmaLogics Recruiting (PLR) will ALWAYS value their clients over their employees. They do this in a multitude of ways. They don't build long-term contracts that keep their clients business. This means their biggest clients come and go as they pleases = employees aren't needed as much when large clients suddenly don't need PLR. This causes company wide layoffs and a stricter environment for those still at the company. (I left before the layoffs) They also will always let their clients run over the employees with bad attitudes and go behind their back to say the client call was easy. Management will pretend to care about your well being immediately after these calls. Then they will tell you it was an easy client call and use it against you during meetings with other management. PLR had me in a training program for over a year promising a promotion. Every single time a promotion came up, they would give it to another employee. Many which had been at the company for a MUCH shorter time period. I had strong numbers and good communication through most of my two years, I asked management over and over what I could do better/improve on. Each time I was given a response that was a moving goal post. They held everyone to different standards and played favorites! Lastly, their health insurance choice does not cover much.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you found value in several of the work benefits we offer to help improve our employee experience. We do appreciate your positive comments in this regard. However, we are troubled by the picture you painted of the company overall. It is not our goal or interest to create the type of culture that you described. It is accurate to say that PharmaLogics does value its clients. In the incredibly competitive industry where we operate, focusing on serving our clients is critical to survival. We also operate in a client-driven market, which means we can’t always insist on Long-term contracts. Many of the actions our clients take are beyond our control and do result in conditions that force us to make very difficult decisions impacting team members across the organization. We did not take these actions lightly and first considered all other options. We are also committed to treating each employee of the company as an individual, with recognition and advancement based on individual merit. We are sorry to hear that this was not your experience with us. Your feedback is crucial to us, and we value the opportunity to address any specific issues or concerns you may have. If you would like to have a more direct conversation, Please email vquintero@pharmalogicsrecruiting.com.

Pros
Good for gaining professional work experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
Cons
They are not transparent. They will tell you for months that business is going great and then they lose a big client and layoff or furlough majority of the staff just to bring them on again a couple weeks later. Management seems unorganized. It is insulting to think they can throw us around and expect us to come right back. They also have no loyalty to employees who have put in time and hard work. They will layoff an employee who has worked hard for them for over a year, but keep individuals who have been with the company for less than 6 months. Management definitely has favorites and at times it can seem like a popularity contest. They had furloughed me along with many of my other colleagues, and then a few weeks later said “just kidding! we have work now.” it is unstable and you cannot trust what they say. This is why I decided to walk away. I do not recommend giving this company your hard work - they will not appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are glad to hear that you were able to gain valuable industry experience while working with PharmaLogics. We do appreciate your positive comments in this regard. We are equally saddened to hear about your negative experience, however. It is not our goal to hide anything from employees or to be less than completely transparent. Unfortunately, the Life Sciences industry is currently experiencing a dynamic time, leading to instability and uncertainly in the workforce. PharmaLogics is a support function to the larger industry, and we can’t always predict how the actions of our clients will affect our business. In this instance we were forced to react to recent conditions and make very difficult decisions impacting team members across the organization. We did not take these actions lightly and considered this change only after exhausting all other options. And as you noted, when we were able to offer employment to individuals based on positive changes in the market, we first offered those opportunities to employees that had been previously impacted. We also appreciate your comments regarding the nature of the recruiting industry. We do appreciate that it is a challenging role, and we are always looking for ways to improve the employee experience. Your feedback is crucial to us, and we value the opportunity to address any specific issues or concerns you may have. If you would like to have a more direct conversation, Please email vquintero@pharmalogicsrecruiting.com.

We appreciate you taking the time to give your candid and sincere feedback. The Life Sciences industry is currently going through a dynamic time, leading to instability and uncertainty in the workforce. As a support function to the larger industry, it's difficult to foresee how these changes will impact our business. Unfortunately, recent conditions compelled us to make some tough decisions that affected team members across the organization. These decisions were not made lightly; we carefully considered them only after exploring all other possibilities. We are fully aware of the profound impact these changes have on the individuals directly affected and on those who remain within the company. We are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We aim to treat all employees fairly and provide equal opportunities for growth and recognition. It’s our goal to help provide any to support you and others through this transition in any way we can. If you need assistance or wish to provide further feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to our HR team directly at vquintero@pharmalogicsrecruiting.com.

- Leadership that helps guide you and listen to your ideas and appropriate opinions - Co-workers are kind and supportive; no matter what department they are in - Smaller feel company with larger corporate benefits and initiatives - Work perk allowance, quarterly snack boxes (since we work remotely) and fair commission structure
Cons
- Corporate can move slowly and doesn’t match the fast pace of the PharmaLogics business unit - Transparency is overkill at times - The economic environment we are in effected the company size a few months back, but as work comes back in we are getting busier

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. The ability for all employees to direct their own work-life balance is important to us and seems like it has been a positive for you as well. I am also happy to hear that PharmaLogics was able to provide a career platform for you to build upon. As a current employee, I appreciate your willingness to provide this feedback. However, the anonymous nature of the post makes it difficult to respond to your specific concerns. I can assure you that it is not our goal to hide anything from employees or to be less than completely transparent. As you know, our industry is very dynamic, and client needs and direction can change suddenly and without warning. What may seem like a decision that was not communicated sooner was more likely a change that was unexpected at all levels. Whenever these changes resulted in an impact on employees, all other options were exhausted first. The timing of this may have appeared to be sudden, but I assure you thoughtful consideration is given for everyone involved. That said, I would like to understand what specific instances you felt were less than transparent. Knowing your concerns better, I can work with our management team to develop new communication processes if needed. Please email me at vquintero@pharmalogicsrecruiting.com so that we can discuss further. Thank you.

Pros
- Great people to work with aside from leadership/C-Suite level - Fully remote
Cons
- The level of transparency at the upper management level has been nothing short of disappointing. Whenever questions were brought to leadership regarding the health/stability of the company, typical answers led us to believe the company was healthy, or the question was avoided entirely - Claiming to be transparent when over half of the company was impacted by a layoff, with the majority only having a week's notice to prepare. The executive team put all their eggs in one basket relying on one singular account to bring in the majority of company revenue, and it was clear to everyone at a lower level that losing this account would result in a significant workforce reduction - The raised performance expectations of recruiters while the business development team struggled to bring in new business, ultimately set them up for failure - Leadership team consistently relied on the Project Management team to take on business development tasks with no training, since business development was unsuccessful in bringing in a healthy book of new business on their own - The management team was pushed to aggressively implement performance improvement plans on a large majority of the recruiting team with little to no warning, holding recruiters accountable to achieve much higher submittal goals than previously agreed upon by company standard (went from 4 submittal average to 6, a 33% increase) - Created a toxic work environment by inducing stress on the recruiting team about their performance, when in reality layoffs were going to happen regardless of performance, including laying off top performers - Upper management frequently ignored direct input from employees who were on the front lines of the accounts keeping the business afloat, leading to problems not being addressed appropriately or accurately - Consistently directing employees into promotional roles solely based on business need and not based on the interest of the employee - Upper management has always been quick to believe the pointed attacks of clients and quick to blame employees without listening to the full context - Executive team boasted about bringing people back from furlough and alluded to obtaining more business on company-wide calls in front of individuals who were impacted by the reduction and had not yet reached their termination date
