I have been working at Pharmatech full-time

    Pros

I am a full-time, current employee. With recent changes in staffing, Pharmatech is moving in the right direction. Current employees are motivated and proficient in getting their work done.

    Cons

Employees are given a lot of responsibilities. However, those who are able to accomplish their goals are given a lot of opportunities for growth within the company.

    Advice to Management

    Keep hiring!

I have been working at Pharmatech as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    It fills your time ....

    Cons

If you like to work for free. Actually lose money since expense reports don't get paid either. They are not paying theirs sites either and as a contractor it is effecting ny reputation. Don't do it, people know the reputation of this company and you don't need this on your resume. Run fast. Run now. They were better for about 8 months last year early this year now good luck even getting someone to answer your calls.

    Advice to Management

Pay your bills or get out of the business

    Pros

Majority of employees are junior but extremely nice, respectful, hard working, and want to learn how to work in clinical research.

    Cons

Unfortunately, executive level support is severely lacking and/or they think they know better than the FDA as far as how research should be run so they do not advocate following regulations that they feel are 'just paperwork' (eg, regulatory document requirements, HIPPA regs, etc). Run for the hills umless you want your name associated with a half assed company with integrity being extremely low on their priority list and less than a dozen or so employees to do the work of twice that! And, definitely don't contract for them if you want to get paid for your work!

    Advice to Management

Good job getting rid of your slimy CEO but you need to sell to a well established company that prioritizes integrity, has strong leadership and processes, and the resources necessary for your staff to succeed.

    Pros

    Fills space on your resume.

    Cons

The management submits false reviews to glassdoor to make the company seem better than it really is.

    Pros

Good salary, perks like free meals once a week and plenty of high-quality refreshments, attractive office, courteous coworkers (won't make a lot of noise to disturb you in the open floor plan), free parking within a block of the office--sometimes in the garage.
Lots or opportunities to learn about CROs and the medical research study process.

    Cons

Employees who are brought on overtime-exempt may be expected to work heavy overtime to get the job done instead of bringing in additional help--sometimes because they don't hire qualified people, so it's up to their successors or other employees to make up for it.
Not a big company, so there may not be promotional opportunities depending on your department. Often best as a stepping-stone to positions with other companies in the industry (going into clinic/study management, etc.).
Management doesn't plan well and sometimes hires the wrong people for certain positions--they talk big, but make a lot of mistakes, and the employees end up paying for it.

    Advice to Management

Be more about substance than show with your employees. Taking everyone on expensive "team building" trips doesn't do much good when you have to let a bunch of people go due to budget shortfalls. Do more due diligence in planning, check in with employees to see whether they are overloaded, offer options to help rather than blaming the employee for not meeting impossible deadlines.

I worked at Pharmatech (More than a year)

    Pros

    There are absolutely no pros.

    Cons

This is by far the most unethical company I have ever worked for. The CEO is a crook-google his name and his antics in California. He has affairs with staff, lies, cheats. Stay as far away as possible from this company.

    Advice to Management

You have good employees but terrible leaders.

You do not have to dress up.

    Cons

I worked at Pharmatech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Small company, professional staff, high quality work product, strong work ethic, and mission-driven. There is a real commitment to improve the company and it's happening from within.

    Cons

Transitioning under new management, specifically a new CEO. They are currently under staffed and subject to budget constraints. Employees work through lunch to get their work done.

    Advice to Management

Expand and formalize the new employee training program, staff operations department to match new business projects.

I worked at Pharmatech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Form great friendships with coworkers. There is room for growth if you are good at what you do and willing to work hard. This was my first "office job" and was surprised at how much time we got for lunch, coffee breaks, mental breaks

    Cons

Cubicle atmosphere, many meetings, poor management, high turnover with employees ( I was there 1 year and saw approx. 6 people come/go), dissatisfied clients, always behind in paying clients, poor communication with managers. Although not directly responsible it always made me nervous to feel that we were one step away from going under

    Advice to Management

    Learn to run a business!
