I worked at Philadelphia Flyers as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Great staff, good way to network. An overall great experience

    Cons

After all of the hard work that the interns do, there is no room for advancement for a career

    Advice to Management

Allow for interns to grow in the company. it seems as if interns are given a majority of the challenging work and then sent on their way after the internship is complete.

I worked at Philadelphia Flyers as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's always fun and exciting to work behind the scenes for a professional sports team. We were able to attend most games, although had to work the majority of the time, the team made the playoffs that year and it was great to be a part of the organization.

    Cons

Most of the time we were just given busy work and none of our ideas or projects were taken seriously. We were stuck doing grunt work for no pay and it wasn't a great learning experience.

    Advice to Management

There is a new corporate structure now and I believe they actually provide interns with a stipend. Hopefully they've overhauled the internship program and it is more beneficial.

I worked at Philadelphia Flyers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place for behind the scenes look at stuff and free tickets. That's about it, nice to hear yourself say you work for a professional team.

    Cons

Salveship, sales is treated like second hand - worked to bone. making 70-100 outbound calls a day. Only to bring home a base of 15k, did I add they make you pay back 5k. They basically steal 5k from what you sold, you are better off selling insurance - then working crazy hours and being close to the poverty line. You could be the best sales rep on the staff an not get promoted to Account Manager. They play favorites and push leads to the Sr. Guys and have clicks. If you take this job be sure to do your research and find a broker willing to 200K on a crappy team with horrible margins on the secondary market. Which is absolutely flooded with tickets.

    Advice to Management

    Give these guys a break!
