    Pros

Great salary and even greater benefits....the company 401 k is brilliant and the stock options/dividends are fantastic. Overall business is good, the people smart. No more free unlimited cigarettes...

    Cons

too many meetings....meeting of meetings....tendency to forget about the problems instead of resolving it. Marlboro is brand managed by 50 people(ceo included!) and is not evolving with its time....veteran managers are governing and blocking young talented managers from pushing them away

    Advice to Management

those 360 feedback forms and the HR division are not to the level of the others...Some people with no added values whatsoever are still there§

I worked at Philip Morris USA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Best in class training
    Ethical company standards
    Competitive compensation, DPS, bonuses

    Cons

Work-life balance is hard to maintain
In and out of a minivan, regardless of weather, calling on liquor and convenience stores
As the company takes on new categories and brands, employee workloads increase without additional support or compensation...there are only so many hours in a day
Promoting past Unit Manager is difficult due to the very limited number of DM positions

I worked at Philip Morris USA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great company with good benefits. Training and resources to do the best job are provided. If you are organized, motivated, with good interpersonal skills, you will go far. Must be willing and able to work on your own, follow guidelines and achieve set goals. Good started job. It will teach you a lot of good values and work ethics.

    Cons

It takes a lot of hours planning and organizing. The more you accomplish, the more they want from you. It never ends, until you are stressed out or burnt out.

    Advice to Management

At some point management needs to understand that there is a limit to a person's time and endurance.
