I have been working at Philippine Air full-time

    Pros

    1. Great benefits (discounted tickets)
    2. Adequate salary

    Cons

    1. Management is extremely traditional
    2. Medical benefits are conditional (ex. you won't get any benefits if you don't reach their ideal body weight in 4 months - mind you)
    3. Inefficient medical personnel (most of them are very rude and sometimes they're inaccurate)
    4. Older employees are judgmental of the newer ones
    5. Favoritism is prominent
    6. If you're part of the admin you won't get overtime pay
    7. Initiatives by the HR aren't really being followed (depending on the department you're in)
    8. If you try to complain to HR nothing will really happen
    9. Work gets repetitive
    10. (Department-specific) Basically everyone's afraid to voice out their opinion to management because either he/she would get scolded
    11. 9-hour work day

Personally, I'm just looking for the right time to resign.

    Advice to Management

Please change your ways in terms of handling your employees. You may be shifting to a better image, but that won't happen if you don't take care of your employees well.

I worked at Philippine Air full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

they were about to become a good airline during the time when Ramon Ang as President was in power. He fixed a lot of "left over" from the old regime.

    Cons

when the old management under Lucio Tan took over again in September 2014, the "dinosaur - dynasty" came back. Too many overpaid seniors with titles non existing anywhere else. Headcount way too high at the head office, nobody takes a decision, approval processes are ridiculous and take ages. Super incompetent Senior Management and scared to do their jobs. Racist against foreigners working for them.

    Advice to Management

get rid of those old people and hire people from outside. A mix of nationalities would help you to get some new ideas into your old and rotten structure. One smart person can replace easily 10 of your old people there and do the job alone.

I worked at Philippine Air full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment between managers and employees.

    Cons

The salaries were not that high for a big company and they outsource most of there departments to other companies which could lead to a decline in quality of products and services.

    Advice to Management

I would like to recommend to the management to increase the salaries of their employees and stop outsourcing the different departments to other companies.
