    Excellent opportunity for growth of career in medical devices.
    Management is flexible.
    You are valued as an employee.

    Cons

    Terrible work life balance.
    No employee group gatherings , focus on quantity over quality

    Advice to Management

    Focus on quality instead of rushing to improve quality over quantity to improve customer relationships and satisfaction.

    Great environment for asking questions
    Solid pay
    Opportunities to network across site

    Cons

    Interns not always utilized for projects with impact (i.e. busywork)
    Management not always invested in developing skills

    Advice to Management

    Make sure you are able to invest time in training in your interns and rewarding initiative

    I worked at Philips as an intern

    Pros

    -A good way to get experience with working under FDA regulations on medical devices (if you work at a site that manufactures Philips' medical scanning equipment).
    -Pay seems above average, especially for interns.

    Cons

    -Annoying focus on process and business needs.
    -Internal culture is depressing; full of engineers sick of said process and business needs.
    -Politics.
    -60-80 hour workweeks are typical. Even for many interns.

    Advice to Management

    1) Stop pushing for so many things to get done at once. Engineers in particular deserve more time to take a careful look at things, thereby preventing lots of careless mistakes from happening.
    2) Stop taking such a top-down approach and listen to engineering teams' needs.

    Great work life balance. Hours can be flexible. There is a great cafeteria and a fitness center at the location. Great environment to work

    Pros

    We used to have a great team and high morale. Lately we are losing people faster than we can replace them.

    Cons

    If we are lucky enough to get replacements the people we do get are lacking and not up to par. We are so short staffed we have to keep them

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people, listen to the people at the bottom
