I worked at Philips full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good salary and Benefits. Good hourly pay

    Cons

No loyalty from management. I worked there 30 plus years and all they care about are the numbers. Also they dont trust thier employees. I never broke any rules but they swepted me out anyway. They never called my customers and asked how I was doing. Also if you dont score a 10 on a survey, your very bad.

    Advice to Management

    Butter cups.

I worked at Philips full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been working at Philips (More than 5 years)

    Pros

A lot of training and help from others around you. A great benefits package including a good contribution from the company to the 401(k), a vehicle and opportunities for educational advancement.

    Cons

The company needs to hire more engineers. Engineers need help. They are often stretched beyond their capabilities being called to service more sites than they can handle.

    Advice to Management

Management is doing pretty good but has become too metric centric. One opportunity for improvement would be to better judge FSEs by customer satisfaction rather than how quickly a work order gets closed.

    Cons

    Excessive overtime
    No organization at field level

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. They are leaving in droves for a reason. The main reason is they do not want to live at work.

I have been working at Philips full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They seem quite eager to get me on-board. Offered a HEFTY signing bonus to move to a different city.

    Cons

None so far... I'm just a bit in the dark as to what the day to day will be like. And I'm a bit nervous of what my expectations are, considering how much I was offered.

    Pros

Good 401k match, company car, and schedule can be flexible

    Cons

Low pay. If you're an FEP engineer, you have no chance of making a decent wage. Philips now believes in giving promotions without pay. Company doesn't value its own employees.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on real issues instead of metrics on a spreadsheet.
