Phillips provides a challenging work environment with ever changing problems to solve, so things never got boring. There was a strong sense of camaraderie within and between departments. I was not stuck behind a desk all the time. I had plenty of opportunities to get out in the field on a weekly basis.
Cons
The pressure leading up to outages or events was sometimes intense with little recognition on the back end. The work/life balance was not supported as much as I saw in other fields or industries. The yearly ranking system seemed arbitrary at best. Advancement requires moving from site to site.
