    Pros

Team Management, there are daily meeting in the morning in which the staff gathers to discuss concerns or recognize people for their efforts. Positive Recognition, when employees are recognized for their performance it will encourage others to challenge their efforts as well as give great workers incentive to continue to do a good job. Cross Training, there are consistent opportunities to be trained in new roles or...

    Cons

They consistently throw you to the wolves and give you a large work load without proper compensation. Human Resources is VERY unprofessional. They are always trying to pinch pennies, chasing away great employees. Managers receive bonuses for staying under budget, with this being said they will SELFISHLY increase the workload of the employees so that they do not have to pay extra staff so that THEY can receive a bonus...

I worked at Phoenixville Hospital full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

As a patient access registrar, I was fortunate to work with some wonderful clerical and clinical employees as well as help many patients with their needs. I learned much and enjoyed the comradery that I found with most of my fellow employees and some supervisors from other departments.

        Cons

Working here was truly a terrible experience. Most higher management, the last 3 of the registration department directors and all but one department supervisor were incompetent at their jobs and destroyed the morale of the department. We were expected to do our jobs without having even basic supplies or proper equipment. I hope that with this hospital under new management and under a NON-PROFIT focus, Phoenixville Hospital...

        Advice to Management

It would be in the best interests of the patients, the employees and the hospital if management actually made efforts to treat the patients and the employees with actual concern and respect. Focusing only on money, shareholders and personal self-interests caused a lot of good employees and patients to find a better hospital to be a part of.

        Pros

Small Hospital, get to know everyone. Flexible hours.

        Cons

Corporate doesn't give much of a raise, co-pays are high for the insurance plan offered. No holiday bonus, just a free Turkey.

        Advice to Management

        Need to keep employees satisfied.
