I have been working at Phonak full-time

    Pros

I've worked for 4 employers; Phonak is by far my favorite. If I could work a few more decades and retire here, I'd be glad for that.

    Some good things:
    Open, bright environment.
    People are professional, yet playful.
Not a stressful and cranky environment.
Many smart people in middle and senior management.
Many people have been here 10+ years.
Bistro upstairs makes fresh breakfasts and lunch daily to purchase.
Benefits are good, including hearing aid benefit for self, immediate and extended family.
Working to build a less- siloed culture - a ways to go - but on the right path!!
Demands your best while you're here, but not a culture of 50+ hour weeks.
Company is willing to invest in its employees, both in encouraging travel or education when appropriate.
Management is genuine in their desire to help people live better lives - both customers, consumers and employees.

    Cons

As the company works to be more refined in its processes, there have been changes at the top. For long-time employees, this has been hard to adapt to. At times there is confusion around role clarity in certain areas - who owns what? Each department handles own onboarding; some individuals receive more formal training than others.

    Pros

Great collaboration and very intelligent staff. You will learn a great deal and the company is growing, all good things. Everyone from President to Production approachable and helpful.

    Cons

A bit of gossipy. Just watch yourself, don't get involved in office politics and things are fine.

    Pros

Great culture with a management team fully engaged in getting employee feedback and responding accordingly wiht action. Very competitive pay. International company with plenty of avenues to advance. Recent bonus system weighted on the overall performance of the company as whole. Most importantly, a company prided on improving the lives of the hearing impaired. A winning company with a winning future. Life IS on at Phonak!

    Cons

Ok, at one point they offered free Starbucks coffee, but cut back, understandably, when the Great Recession hit. Still, they serve great coffee in the Bistro upstairs!!

    Advice to Management

Keep paying attention to employee feedback, you are listening and making a difference!
