    Pros

Vespa is a great brand in an emerging product category with great opportunity for growth and to make a difference in alternative urban transportation.

    Cons

The market is still small in North America, demand is highly volatile and Corporate commitment to building a strong presence in North America is more recently low.

  2. "Arrogant, disrespectful and industry-ignorant CEO in 2006"

I worked at Piaggio USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with dealers and PUSA tech staff.

    Cons

Dealing with US executive staff, specifically the CEO who had zero industry knowledge.

    Advice to Management

Respect the dealer input and advice.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

The products that they sold were very cool. The Italians know how to design scooters and motorcycles.

    Cons

Very political, poor communication, poor leadership at the top.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

    1. Products are well-designed
    2. Business causal working environment
    3. Small company, you know everyone

    Cons

    1. Prospect of business in the future is not quite bright (due to existing competition and the fact auto-industry is very oil-price sensitive. Downsizing may always be on management working agenda)
    2. Lack of unique company culture that bonds people together

    Advice to Management

    Provide sysmatic on-going on-the-job training
