    Pros

I worked at Pic Agency full-time

    Pros

    None that come to mind.

    Cons

This place is without exaggeration the worst place I have ever worked. If you are even remotely considering a job here just run as fast as you can and don't ever look back. The management is beyond terrible: Pamela enjoys being verbally abusive to her employees, paying everyone less than what they're worth, and generally being impossible to work with or for. If you can last there longer than a few months you deserve a medal, a raise, and a few years of free therapy b/c you will def need it.

    Advice to Management

You can't really give advice to people who won't listen.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

CD was talented and usually on point. Support staff worked their bums off.

    Cons

Both owners had a weird dynamic. The CD was nice and talented, however, his partner (EP?) would stir him up and he'd become grumpy. Too many PAs (whom were almost all hired as Assistant Editors); producer was given no authority to do his job, and artists were constantly having to adhere to moving goalpost milestones. Very unorganized. Payments arrived late. Usually around net-45. And that's if you emailed the accountant incessantly.

    Advice to Management

Losen up! The artists and producers you hire are professionals. Treat them as such and trust their opinions. Hire people according to their qualifications. Pay folks net30.

I worked at Pic Agency full-time

    Pros

Get to help everyone out, from animators to producers
Talk to big clients, handle important paperwork, see footage/credits of films/tv shows
    Work in After effects/InDesign/Photoshop/excel

    Cons

    Reaaaally low pay
Sometimes you feel trapped in the job,
no direct HR personnel, "independent contractor"
    Payment isn't really discussed
Not as friendly environment as you think, sometimes feels sketchy

    Advice to Management

Give praise for tasks done amazingly
start with higher pay or give trial to employee, let them know when the trial begins/ends
Organize structure more, appoint tasks to an actual person, not just display them-know who is accountable
Even though turnover is high, introduce staff to new people so we know who does what

I worked at Pic Agency part-time

    Pros

The interns that work there are nice!! The boss is terrible!!

    Cons

Disorganized Agency!!! The computers have tons of folders with footage all over the places!!!
They should hire someone just to organize the mess they have.

You will find mostly interns, because they don't want to pay what they should!!!

The boss, Pamela B. Green, lacks of communication skills and is not polite at all!!

    Pros

Small company. Good potential for promotion.

    Cons

Terrible management, high strung, angry, obnoxious, terrible planning, production decision making, equipment. Extremely delayed payment. Insufficient staffing for jobs, poor talent acquisition and screening, fake deadlines caused employees to work extremely hard for no reason. This company is notorious in the freelancer world for consistently doing it wrong. Run!

    Advice to Management

Hire quality talent for the job, dont bite off more than you can chew. Listen to experienced talent, especially when tackling projects that are out of your comfort zone. Pay on time, otherwise your reputation will bite you in the future.
