I worked at Picture Me Portrait Studios part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The customer's were the best part. I had thousands of children I watched grow, families I was nearly a part of, and memories I captured for then for all time!

    Cons

All the superiors were horrible. I ran a studio as manager for over a year, only to be replaced by some bimbo who I had to teach everything to. After 5 years, I only ever got one raise despite leading my district in sales and customer service. The raise was due to minimum wage increased.

    Advice to Management

Respect your top employees. Pay what's due and more people would stick around. Finding someone to take a picture is easy, finding a real photographer, with a passion, too capture memories, is difficult.

I worked at Picture Me Portrait Studios part-time

    Pros

    They aren't open anymore.
They do provide cheap photos to those who can't afford them.

    Cons

Poor management, obviously a failed business, were always upsaling and trying to put people into debt over pictures.

    Advice to Management

I hope you took out a savings plan when the company failed.

    Pros

Get to interact with some great customers.
Ability to create something that hopefully a customer will love and cherish.
    Great deals for customers

    Cons

Have to interact with some terrible customers
    Work completely alone
    No room for creativity
    Hawking to bring in customers
    Not reliable work schedule
    Dated and worn props

    Advice to Management

Make sure new employees are properly trained... and on the current software. It makes a huge difference. Offer a better plan/guide of necessary portrait poses.

    Pros

It was a quick hiring process, probably because the turnover is so high

    Cons

Expected to work the entire studio alone, photography, selling, paperwork and gather a ridicules number of sweepstakes a day. You are expected to walk around walmart and ask random people to fill out sweepstakes with their personal information.

    Pros

I honestly can't think of one thing I enjoyed about this job except taking pictures and most of the time I didn't even enjoy that.

    Cons

I barely had any training, I worked at the studio every day for a full month and I was there at least ten hours daily because they didn't want to hire anyone else, everyone I met talked behind your back and tried to get you fired, they had unrealistic expectations, they are the worst job experience I have ever had.

    Advice to Management

    Train the people hired!

I worked at Picture Me Portrait Studios full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work with kids, learn more about photography, and better your product selling skills. If you like photography, this is a great place to learn more about it.

    Cons

Awful management, complete lack of creative freedom, low pay, and high expectation. I worked here for 2 days before being left alone to run the store.

    Advice to Management

Hire better managers, and allow for more creative freedom. Also, upgrade your old tech.

I worked at Picture Me Portrait Studios part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working with kids, the (few) pleasant people, gaining experience, flexible schedule

    Cons

money hungry company, slow, not much business, gets boring when no body comes in to take pictures, upset customers (almost constantly),

    Advice to Management

Keep your employees INFORMED so that we can make sure our CUSTOMERS are happy and satisfied and actually come back! Don't leave your employees in the dark. Also, hire managers who will actually pick up a phone call regarding customers!

    Cons

Business is money hungry & doesn't care about the quality of photos.
Doesn't use actual professional photography techniques.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Picture Me Portrait Studios part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros of this job are that if you love photography, it's fun. Working with children is great too. Also, its a good opportunity to work independently.

    Cons

The management is terrible, the district managers are rude and inconsiderate, and often the studio managers are disorganized and lazy, as well as treating their employees unfairly and being dishonest too boot, a universal with this company.

    Advice to Management

Senior management, your hourly employees and customer are what keeps your job secure and gives you a paycheck to begin with, think twice before you walk all over them and lie to their faces.
