I have been working at Pie Town Productions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They only want the best of the best, but they also put a huge emphasis on personality - how good you are as a person and if you work well in a team environment. It makes for a great working experience.

    Cons

I've been here for years and there is no real con. It's a great place to work!

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Pros

Relaxed work environment. Very casual atmosphere. Dog-Friendly. Cake for your birthday.

    Cons

Low moral. Bitter employees. Zero to no communication between departments. Hard to move up. Not encouraged to be creative or think outside the box. No sense of teamwork. Every man for himself.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your staff. Engage more. Have some respect for your employees and their ambitions.

I worked at Pie Town Productions (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pie Town tries hard to build a solid consistent team, talented employees are kept on as long as possible. I learned a lot and have lifelong relationships with former coworkers.

    Cons

Minor...a little hard to find parking at both campuses, and I mean that's me really trying to find a con here. I loved working at this company.

    Advice to Management

The only advice I had on my exit interview was to have a weekly bagel day or some other team tradition, probably because I'm a foodie!

I worked at Pie Town Productions full-time

    Pros

    -Shows are generally very successful
-Pay was decent (but probably cause for lay-off)
-The staff by-and-large seem like good people

    Cons

-Upper management is biased toward certain groups including but not limited to Emerson grads and seems to promote based primarily on those terms rather than merit. Would be a waste of time for those of us who don't fall into their particular ideals to bother investing time and effort there.

    Advice to Management

Show a little less bias with employees, it's great to encourage Emerson grads and other certain groups of people, but when it becomes clique-ish it's a total turnoff and deal breaker.

    Pros

uneventful work environment. fun stories involving the freaks who hang out around the outside of the building.

    Cons

disgruntled management. inconsistent emotional atmosphere. no one is passionate about their work or the content they create. definition of settling.

    Advice to Management

this is the kind of job where even on your first day you say to yourself "well this sucks but no one's yelling at me right now so it's cool for the time being" but then still working here after years you start to reevaluate every decision you've made in your entire life.
