    Cons

Healthcare plan for employees should represent the company's reputation.

    Pros

The pay is generally much higher than any other hospital in Atlanta. Upper management was very accessible and personable. There were yearly merit based pay increases that were actually noticeable on your paycheck. There were also opportunities to volunteer - Heart Walk, Men's Health Awareness Month and with the Atlanta Falcons. Albeit expensive, the benefits were good.

    Cons

When mergers took place, a lot of good people were lost which isn't totally their fault - but seniority wasn't considered in a lot of cases which was pretty disheartening. There is very little room for error in the sense of attendance or tardiness. There was little to nonexistent sympathy when it came to sick kids, or yourself and there was a need to take off. Also not many advancement opportunities available if you're not a nurse.

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding in that life happens. Value your people as they value the company.

I worked at Piedmont Heart Institute part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are mostly very nice and caring

    Cons

Higher ups are very condesending and disregard any suggestions for improvement but I think since I have left so have some of those people.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees more and try to impove the small things and not just focus on the "bigger picture" all the time.

    Pros

The doctors are magnificent, the benefits are good.

    Cons

Work your tail off, but you won't get paid for it. Those who do the least, make the most. Manager is all about her and her bonus.

    Advice to Management

Need new management, she is clueless. A manager should know every angle, she doesn't know how the right foot works with the left.
