I have been working at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great benefits- love my co-workers

    Cons

Understaffed which causes work environment to be stressful for everyone. High turnover in food services

    Advice to Management

I feel like they have forgotten that happy employees can also make happy patients. Disgruntled employees don't work as hard. If employees feel like they are treated well--they would work harder.

I worked at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits, new facility,

    Cons

Piedmont Newnan is a racist establishment. They only have a few token people of color to say they are diversified. Salaries have been drastically reduced and now only competitive for nursing. There is a lack of appreciation for hard work. Poor employee morale. Management doesn't care about their employees. There isn't enough staff to cover the hospital.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to your employee's they are the ones that make the hospital run. Directors only care about making managment happy at the expense of their employees. Most of the employees are miserable. The reason why people are leaving left and right is because they are not compensated, under valued and being worked like slaves.

    Cons

Parking too far, especially when raining.

    Advice to Management

Need consequences to bad behavior. Need to stop the negativity in workplace.

I worked at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay to an extent. Everything else is a con! It's a con! There are no other pros. The benefits are mediocre!

    Cons

Management does not care about the staff nor the patient. It's all about appearances. Safety concerns get reported and then scripted excuses some out about how it is the nurses fault! How can the nurses give excellent care when taking care of 3 ICU patients, 6-9 medical/surgical patients every night? Hope you don't get sick! Stay away from this sinking ship!

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your staff!

I have been working at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like working for Piedmont Newnan. The pros include that it is a brand new, beautiful campus and most of the patients are happy with the care they receive from the nursing staff. It includes ONLY private rooms and all rooms have a computer, gorgeous views, electronic keypads to reach each employee's portable Cisco phone.

    Cons

The cons I have experienced personally really only involve with I have experienced with lack of team work and very immature nurses who just like to play during night shift. My supervisor is very by the book and can be a bit too serious at times. But overall, these things are minimal.

    Advice to Management

Encourage teamwork and morality for the young twenty somethings who are very immature and "clicky" who just want to play around all night. Having fun and enjoying coworkers is one thing, but immaturity is another.

I worked at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If healthcare is your life, this is a beautiful facility with lots of opportunities.

    Cons

You may never spend another holiday with your family. If they want to give someone else your job, they will, and you will have to find something else and start over. If you say no and decide to leave, you can be marked 'no rehire', which makes it extremely difficult for you to find another job.

    Advice to Management

Try to remember that your employees are people too. It's not just a job, it's their lives.

I worked at Piedmont Newnan Hospital full-time

    Pros

Co-workers are dedicated and hard working. Training is available.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't listen to employees even after soliciting comments. Expect retaliation on any complaints. Management 'clicks' make promotion difficult for most. Unfair expectations of employee performance with little reward for hard work.

    Advice to Management

Change priorities to reflect patient care, not patient perception, by fair and equitable treatment of employees. Present credo seems to be 'The beatings will continue until morale improves'.

    Pros

Beautiful facility with a strong comraderie amongst employees

    Cons

Big company atmosphere leaves employees feeling like numbers and a big disconnect between upper mgmt and employees.

    Advice to Management

Have better awareness of middle mgmt issues affecting over-all effectiveness of the units.
