I worked at Pikeville Medical Center (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits
    Relaxed work environment
Clear on what needs to be done
Very good manager that was very personable to all employees

    Cons

Never experienced it personally, but at an organization this large you hear about bad managers, decisions made for reasons other than the best interests of the hospital and general nepotism.

    Pay could be better

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with employees on decisions being made as you often find out about major changes as they are happening with no warning.

    Pros

Great Insurance. 100% insurance you pay nothing!!!

    Cons

Full of drama and whiny people. You will do 3 to 4 times the amount of work because only 2 out of 5 people there really do their jobs. But, you are expected to pick up the slack.

    Advice to Management

Quit worrying about your friends and trying to make certain people happy and put the entire dept. first
