    Pros

love the doctors, NPs, and my nurse supervisor
    love the adult clients

    Cons

the organization has issues with repecting the medical department; the clinical department is definitely the golden child; staff who are favorites typically do not go through the correct channels with communications; lack of communication between departments is the biggest issue

I have been working at Pine Belt Mental Health Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Freedom to work independently within your scope of practice with caring supervision.
Virtual autonomy to complete your work as you see fit.
    Reimbursement for mileage is fair.

    Cons

Lots of "red tape," completion of forms that have long been forgotten as to why they must be completed.
Sometimes things are expected to be done "because that's the way it's done," without room for question.
Disconnect between executive level and employees in the field.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better and more frequently with your staff for process improvement.
    Recognize and celebrate employee success.
Empower your employees to creatively solve problems and improve processes.

    Pros

Compared to other community mental health centers in MS, PBMHR is relatively progressive in terms of consumer/client services; electronic medical records makes completing substantial documentation requirements easier; employee orientation and trainings are comparatively above average

    Cons

Heavy emphasis on unrealistic productivity requirements for case managers/CSSs resulting in less quality service and high turnover rates; extremely directive autocratic management without respect to employee input and suggestions.

    Advice to Management

Spend a week or even a day shadowing a case manager/CSS to gain a better perspective of the reality of the CSS job versus the productivity expectations. Organize a focus group and include CSSs and counselors, not just management, to address possible reasons for and solutions to the agency's productivity needs and turnover rate; address lack of consistent communication across the agency, listen to employees, and don't micromanage.

    Pros

A pay check and I only gave one star because I could not submit without it

    Cons

This company only cares about money. They do not care about the clients or getting them help. The management especially Mona the Children's Director is horrible and disrespectful to everyone she degrades and belittles the staff. They are all shady and undermined.

    Advice to Management

    Hire new management

    Cons

Poorly managed and could not get the resources needed to assist with clients basic safety needs. Minimal time spent mentoring and more time spent making sure everything looked good on paper.

I worked at Pine Belt Mental Health Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Even though there is not much room for advancement with this company, I enjoyed my co-workers and other staff I came in contact with. Also the insurance, paid time off, and community settings were a plus.

    Cons

As with other mental health facilities, this was a very stressful job at times. However, if the staff received more support from management, it would be a lot better. In addition, there is no room for advancement, minimum pay, and large caseloads.

    Advice to Management

Failure to communicate and setting unrealistic expectations ad goals does not lead to the road of success. Remember that your staff is under your direction and need your support, not criticism.

I have been working at Pine Belt Mental Health Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The desire to help and the clients who appreciate your efforts

    Cons

Arrogant and aggressive supervisors, pitiful salary, no raise, impossible productivity expectations. If you don't meet productivity, you can not use your ETO. Felt threatened often when rules were introduced. No respect for employees from administrators. Everyone is dispensable.

    Advice to Management

Fix salaries, respect Co-s and CM-s, they bring in the dough. Get some clients for yourself and meet your own expectations with them to see what you want from us. Invite everyone for your Christmas party, we deserve it!
