The marketing material was above average, and put together by reputable staff. There are a handful of bright lights scattered across the Pine landscape

Large fleet of rental gear, old and in need of updating and replacement. Branch locations hoard, and don't play well with others. ERP, CRM, cloud storage and intranet are dysfunctional and misaligned. CRM is being used to 10% of its capacity, and is not being used appropriately. for years we were told there would be total integration. IT is running the show. i.e., Customer Service vs Inside sales vs outside sales vs management it is a disconnected mess. Customers are quietly leaving, and finding the same products elsewhere. Local and national competition is winning bids, rfp's, matching or beating quotes, and out servicing Pine. A purchase made off of the Pine website is not attributed on a clients account, it is counted as a web sale. Difficult to track. Their E-commerce goals don't exist in a space that is built for increased revenue. A new CEO and his team arrived at some point in 2022, and has quietly changed the vision from a revenue producing, customer focused model to a Logistical model. They appear to assume that Pine will always "get the sale" so they concentrate on efficiencies related to logistics.

Pros

The offices/warehouses are well organized. The pay is fair and the benefits package is good. Coworkers are nice.

Understaffing is common. Working long hours is normal. Sourcing equipment can be challenging.

Superior customer service; Enormous inventory/product availability; Get to work with/learn about a ton of different products and devices; Work with a long list of various companies.

Can be overwhelming to learn about so many different products/devices as quickly as is needed in order to be confident and knowledgeable enough to comfortably discuss products with customers; Expectations from upper management can sometimes be over-stretched if a new employee wasn’t given the greatest training possible.

I really love the Environmental business and the ability to help customers. Pine is great in many ways but is really missing the customers needs.

Old equipment, downtime is always blamed on the customer! Most of the time it's the over worked technicians, or non trained personnel. Management is somewhat a joke. Structure takes time. Concerns or over looked for equipment, employees Many good employees left and were replaced by with no knowledge of management nor how to treat people customers or employees. Power trippers.

Pros

I was able to knit multiple blankets, read a couple of books and watch the entirety of Skins during the 4 months I was working here. That was basically the only perk - the down time.

Cons

There were issues with management, primarily upper level. In addition to them not caring or listening to their employees, there were also multiple incidents when I would have to call other Customer Service Reps and they would be rude to me as well. Our driver also had a few personal issues (family/drug problems) and totaled his THIRD company car while I was working there. That resulted in having to drive to make all of the deliveries while the coworker that totaled the other car went through a process to continue driving as far as I'm aware. Understaffed, underpaid, and truly boring experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone working here, especially at the Washington location. It was so unbearable that after four months I had to leave. Seriously the worst experience of my life.

Coworkers are great. Some customers are good to work with.

Cons

Pine has way too many C level people that really add nothing. It would be a better move to buy or fix equipment. Never have enough equipment, not sure how growth is expected if current orders can't be filled.
