I have been working at Ping Golf

    Pros

A lot of people there, stay there. 20+ years of loyalty and the people are nice. The family is also equally as nice and approachable. The brand is a world wide brand that is easily recognizable. If you enjoy golfing then working here doesn't feel like work.

    Cons

Sometimes the vending machines aren't working... but I'll survive.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up

I worked at Ping Golf full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are a lot of people there that stay there for 20+ years. There are family woven into almost every single department to show their presence. The brand is a world wide brand that is easily recognizable.

    Cons

There are a lot of people there that stay there for 20+ years, so career growth is almost non-existent. Technical skill growth is also non-existent as the bulk of the company emphasis is on manufacturing and club design.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to other other departments, they are just as critical as club design and manufacturing.

I worked at Ping Golf full-time for more than 8 years

      Pros

Relaxed. Everybody's nice. Great work-to-living balance.

      Cons

None really. Proof of this is the long average tenure of the employees - often more than 20 years.

      Advice to Management

      You're doing good.

I worked at Ping Golf for more than 5 years

      Pros

Worked at PING for five years and mostly enjoyed it. Real premium placed on work/life balance. We were encouraged to go play golf - where else can you truthfully say that? Weekends were 100% family time. Management, in general, was reasonable, patient and extremely passionate about golf.

      Cons

People who were better golfers definitely got more attention and upward mobility. It was very cliquish. I guess it makes sense better golfers had more opportunities at a golf company but it seemed sort of unprofessional and wouldn't exist at any other company. People were stuck in the same jobs for years. Low-to-non existent pay increases. No or very little bonus. Scant profit sharing even if we seemed to be doing...

      Advice to Management

Don't be afraid of change. Take a chance or calculated risk once in a while. If everyone is not satisfied with someone or something, make an effort to change it. Listen to the people who are closest to a problem or issue. There are a multitude of methods and systems out there. Not any one person can know it all so don't just listen to one voice, even if that voice is the loudest. Volume and repetition of the wrong...

I have been working at Ping Golf

      Pros

Compensation appropriate for job. Family owned business so not pressured by investors. Great training and leadership is good.

      Cons

Overall not many cons. Some areas micro managed a little more than they need to be. Not much room to move up.

      I worked at Ping Golf

      Pros

Great environment, healthy workplace, good leadership, worked in various departments and learned a lot of different skills. Get discount on golf clubs and can do player testing if you want!

      Cons

Benefits aren't the best, extremely hard to move up, no tobacco and drinking at any company function is not allowed.

I have been working at Ping Golf full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

As a golfer there is no better place to work than a place that stresses product innovation as much as PING. The family owned atmosphere allows for an awesome work-life balance. As with any company, you have to get your work done and goals met. However, if you have home or family-related issues, PING is very flexible and understanding. As a member of the design engineering group, we are at the forefront of the product...

      Cons

There aren't that many downsides. PING is a very conservative company that sometimes seems a little slow to embrace modern, proven trends in marketing strategy, supply chain management, and compensation techniques, but you'll hear very few complaints. It's not that there's an ignorance of new things, just a more measured approach to evaluate what fits PING culture and operating norms the best.

      Advice to Management

It would be helpful to re-evaluate marketing strategies to speak more towards the core of why the common person enjoys the game, We design great product, but the way it's presented is highly technical and may be well-suited to elite golfers who understand golf and equipment theory, but is lost on the majority of golfers who just want to enjoy the game.

I have been working at Ping Golf full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Good bonus, flexible with hours. Friendly colleagues, will always help any way they can. Wages are very good for the area.

      Cons

Nepotism unfortunately shows in a lot of departments. A lot of stress and pressure put on certain individuals in the company.

      Advice to Management

Talk to your teams more, they work very hard for this company,
