    I worked at Pinnacle Airlines

    Pros

Flight benefits, good experience for first time airline industry employees

    Cons

Horrible upper management. Instead of hiring people from with in to move up into upper management positions that have airline related experience, the people in corporate positions in Memphis just have practical business experience which doesn't lead to growth in the company or common sense procedures. Corporate does little to support outstation managers and goes out of their way to make things as difficult as they can. They don't supply stations with all the necessary equipment, rather they overload some stations with equipment that doesn't get used as it should and make other stations work harder than they should.

I have been working at Pinnacle Airlines

    Pros

-In today's economy...it's a paycheck (a small paycheck...but a paycheck nonetheless) -Flight "benefits" (Single? You might be able to use them. Family? Forget about using them)

    Cons

-Understaffing causes quality of lines suffer as a result (CDOs) -Empty lip service from management -High turnover rate in scheduling and dispatch increases workload

I have been working at Pinnacle Airlines

    Pros

    flight benefits and meeting people

    Cons

Everything about Pinacle is bad....pay scale, downsizing of CSA/Ramp. Scheduling of employess is awful!!!!! They make us go part time and lose all our benefits and our manager will not let us request a day off, we have to sway with other employees., If no one can swap we will not get the day off or any time of time for vacation with our families., They are not employee friendly and the work time is getting very hostile with management. We would like to be able to work another part time job but the schedule of 2 HOUR shifts makes it impossible at times. When told we were going part time, some of us requested to work certain days....mine for instance is FRI-SAT and SUN, instead they schedule me off on FRI-SAT! How is one supposed to make it on this crap schedule? Management does not want to hear how we feel!!!!!

I have been working at Pinnacle Airlines

    Pros

Working 4 - 10s in maintenance is nice, 3 day weekend. Flight benefits and good insurance, revolving door is good for moving up in seniority quick.

    Cons

The 4 -10s are nice if you don't get thrown on mandatory OT for most of the year, because of the revolving door. People leave in droves for better jobs all the time. Management at my base was horrible. No respect for the employees, good ol boy system. Annual reviews were used to tell people how bad they were. I was lucky enough to change departments and work for someone who cared.

    I worked at Pinnacle Airlines

    Pros

Flight benefits was a plus. Having a good group of fellow employees to work with was the best part of the job experience. The flow of information and training updates was excellent and the training department had their act together for below wing operations. (i.e. enough notice to make training deadlines and the proper tools to complete training)

    Cons

In comparison to other airlines in the industry the salary was a joke. For example I found out a gas station attendant made more than I did with same amount of tenure in our respective jobs. Will not pay for initial uniform needed to retain job. No PTO for part time employees and medical insurance was expensive. Lack of proper staffing led to dangerous safety situations for employees. Employees overworked and underpaid. Extreme weather conditions during the summer and winter can make the job dangerous if you do not take care of yourself. Keeping hydrated during the summer and bundled up with a good pair of work boots during the winter is a must.
