    Pros

Great benefits and many different benefits.

    Cons

Below average pay and as the company grows people don't seem as valued as they used to be.

    Advice to Management

Get back to the people centered roots that Pioneer was founded on.

    Pros

Bonus, promotions, pay, and work environment. Safety culture is great. Job is day shift only, on call at night for your first week of your hitch. 14 on 7 off schedule.

    Cons

Limited to 12 hours a day, have to provide living arrangements when equipment operators get free lodging at the man camp.

    Pros

Take care of employees, great benefits, great reputation, great offices to work in

    Cons

Lazy engineers and management, LCO is more party than work, too much politics to advance, old ideas

    Pros

Never fire anyone. On-site free cafe. Good pay. Work/Life balance is a plus!

    Cons

As is oil/gas...people never leave and it's hard to grow and be cutting edge when nobody wants to change. There is very little loyalty to our contractors. They are expected to know stuff but are never included in the meetings.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone fairly to include contractors.

I worked at Pioneer Natural Resources full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great people
    Free lunch
    Great benefits
Operations group are some of the best in the industry
Corporate office has two pretty decent gyms

    Cons

Management outside of operations is clueless. Lots of managers biding their time until retirement. Don't expect to change anything. Culture in the corporate office is based on backstabbing and hidden motives. Senior management is clueless to the real problems, as middle management sugar coats problem areas.

I worked at Pioneer Natural Resources full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Amazingly smart employee workforce. Dedicated and friendly staff. Everyone loved working for Pioneer.

    Cons

Way too much employee sharing (borrowing) and movement within the company which created chaos for HR and a sense of confusion. In a low price environment this employee swapping was going on to alleviate the need to hire. This company runs lean! so everyone is uber busy.

    Advice to Management

Management at the executive level is phenomenal. Upmost respect for them.
