    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Pioneer full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to work independently with a relatively good work/life balance.

    Cons

I was employed at Pioneer for 2.5 years and only received one raise and was never given a formal review. The management is constantly overwhelmed by client demands leaving the employees to figure things out as they go with little to no training or opportunity to ask questions. This resulted in me never having any confidence in the deliverables being submitted to clients. After 2 years my role within the company never changed and my responsibilities were completely stagnant with very little resources being put to professional development.

    Advice to Management

If you want quality engineers and want to have confidence in the work that you at producing you need to show your employees that you value them and put resources into making sure they are trained and have the opportunities to learn new skills when needed. Since I was hired 3 out of 4 of my colleagues have left all of whom were working under the same person. As a company you need to listen to your employees to ensure that your turnover rate does not get out of hand. Ultimately, this approach of treating people like they are replaceable is bad for business and will hurt your bottom line down the road.
