I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time

    Pros

Excellent talent, long-term customers, core technology, predictable cash flow

    Cons

Haven't figured out what's "act 2" as the mailing business gradually contracts. Moving into ecommerce is smart because it's the future and it's growing. But Pitney still needs to find its unique defendable niche. As everyone moves into ecommerce, and it evolves so rapidly,it's hard to grab and control turf.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on strategy. Be transparent.

I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great wages, hours, and decent benefits

    Cons

Senior leaders seem to be only focused on increasing the stock price and are quick to eliminate positions to cut cost. Employees are just a number and a cost rather than an investment with the sales organization.

    Advice to Management

Get up to speed with current technologies and provide your employees the proper tools to do their job. Client satisfaction will increase and your employees will feel valued, which will lead to increased profit and stock price.

    Pros

    Cons

It has a very old culture. If you want to be a Manager you have to pretty much be in the "inner circle".

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to express their creativity rather than suppressing it for this or that month's quota.
