    Pros

In recent years, Pitney Bowes has made a concerted effort towards changing the culture to adapt to the changing business world. Productive people who take calculated risks are rewarded both in financial compensation as well as through expanded roles and promotions. The company also offers an employee stock purchase plan that discounts the stock by a minimum of 15%. The benefits are also much better than other Fortune 500 companies where I have worked.

    Cons

The IT department is a hit or miss proposition. I have worked with very competent people; however, you are often met with very hefty price tags to make even basic systems changes.

The expense report process is also a joke for a Fortune 500 company. Expense reports are done on Excel spreadsheets, printed, signed and mailed to accounts payable. This is a very minor complaint./issue

    Advice to Management

Keep executing the strategy and monitor expenses a little more closely, there is too much disparity in cost containment between different organizations.

Great company all around! The comp and benefits are amazing!

    Cons

Not any. IT is a very professional place to work. Like all corporations just don't get caught up in politics and you'll be fine.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing a wonderful job. Senior managers are amazing in providing vision and mission.

I have been working at Pitney Bowes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

With a new CEO and a technologically advanced workforce, Pitney Bowes is well positioned for future growth! I find myself challenged, engaged and supported every day. What I really like is that my prior experience is valued, so many times when you join a new organization, especially an established one like PB, people are not interested in hearing about epxeriences at previous companies - I am asked repeatedly for my opinion and "how did your former employer handle this?"

    Cons

The businesses are fairly siloed from one another, but that is evolving quickly.

    Advice to Management

    FULL SPEED AHEAD!!!

    Cons

Hard to move up because so many people enjoy working at PB. Relocation is tough too.

    Advice to Management

Help your employees reach their career goals. If they have talent that can be used, even though they are on the other side of the country, take advantage of it and utilize the technology you have.

    Pros

Great management in terms of not micro-managing.

    Cons

Other than the mailing machines, some of the solution items weren't the greatest. I remember the Major Account Executive on my team talking with our manager about installation problems. It was two large Wall Street clients. The clients were not happy campers.

    Advice to Management

Don't have another downsizing. Make sure R&D is doing their job.
