I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company! Very competitive benefits. Fast paced, keeping the job interesting. Adoption of new technologies and skills empowers personal growth. The company is bringing in bright and energetic talent that support Marc L.'s re-branding of the company. The new hires are motivated, work great in teams and are well equipped to operate in a matrix environment.

    Cons

Still too many of the "old guard" remain within the organization that refuse to change. They live in the past ignoring the fact that the industry and the customer needs have changed endangering the long-term future of the company.

    Advice to Management

Need to aggressively weed out the "old guard" especially in mid management and lower levels as this is where strategies are stopped. Replace the "old guard" with new talent that understands new technologies and skill sets that are necessary to succeed long-term.

I worked at Pitney Bowes full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pitney Bowes is evolving from a company known for mail machines to a true technology solutions company. Management is good at communicating the company vision and strategy. The pay structure is competitive and the benefits are excellent.

    Cons

My experience was Pitney Bowes is trying to do to many things at the same time, which caused some confusion. They have gone through a couple of sales cut backs and reduced the outside sales force to almost nothing.

    Advice to Management

Understand the logistics and shipping industry better. Release products that are truly ready for the market.
