Have a monthly talk to talk with employees like who's birthday it is and organize a meeting every month and talk about the pros and the cons about the job what can you do to fix the problem how to solve a problem without having it encounter with another associate or manager sewing and someone basically talk about the problems and fix it every month

I have been working at Pitney Bowes full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

very enjoyable work "family" that I would have no problem networking with regardless if they stayed or left the company. I highly recommend the volunteer matching programs that PB donates matching contribution & encourage team members to participate in volunteerism.

    Cons

When times get tough for an upcoming EOQ/EOY...the shareholders come first & staff is highly eligible for lay offs, hiring freeze, & other initiatives that can make the workplace & job security stressful.

    Advice to Management

become once again the type of company that employees can develop their career.

    Pros

High Income opportunity, ability to self direct your own success, great people to work with.

    Cons

Continual downsizing due to shrinking market creates a negative environment over the sales force. Some manager way better than others.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to weeding out poor sales managers and developing the A players.

    Pros

Great people to work with, we had an awesome sales team in place. Wide variety of products to sell.

    Cons

Too much change too quickly, not enough support from corp to back up product issues with major accounts. Stand behind your products.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the front line staff and back your product. It is hard to sell a product that is an out of box failure and even harder to sell ap product that you cannot return without great effort.

    Pros

Great job for college students, easy work, not hard to get overtime. Decent benefits. Friendly environment to work.in.

    Cons

Hard to advance to better opportunities. Who you know will definitely get you ahead instead hiring due to experience. People who get hired on make more than the people who've been there for years.

    Advice to Management

Give promotions to employees who are better qualified and knowledgeable. Give better raises.

    Pros

Ok work environment. Work life balance is there. Very family oriented company. If you like change and restructuring this is the company for you.

    Cons

New VPs come in and changes everything up to make a name for themselves and then leave. Compensation structure always benefits the company not the sales rep.

    Pros

The culture at Pitney Bowes is good overall. Middle level managers are the best. Senior leadership struggles with strategic direction.

    Cons

Salaries are below industry standards from everything I have seen. Either you accept the low salary, or you find another place to work.
