I have been working at Pivot Interiors full-time

    Pros

Pivot is a truly great place to work. Coworkers are friendly and the management team really cares about providing a great environment for the employees. They offer good benefits and a competitive salary. They are wonderful at providing feedback and making me feel like I am contributing to the success of the company. It's also great to work in a beautiful building with nice workstations and collaborative spaces.

    Cons

    I don't have any complaints!

    Advice to Management

Thanks for providing valuable feedback and constructive criticism to help employees grow within the company.

I have been working at Pivot Interiors part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have been with Pivot for nearly 7 years and truly feel it is a wonderful company to work for. It is a very friendly, family oriented environment. They have very good business practices. The employee longevity rate is much higher than most companies. Many of the employees have been with Pivot for a very long time. They value their employees as well as encourage and support individual professional growth.

    Cons

In the past, the new employee training program has been inconsistent and somewhat lacking, but this is being improved and given a complete overhaul thanks to the new Training Director.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate the "open book" business/financial policies.

I have been working at Pivot Interiors full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I believe the culture at Pivot is professional, inclusive, and open. We share a mutual vision that understands the importance of serving the customer. The expectation we have for ourselves, and each other, helps foster an environment of mutual accountability. We are a company that seeks to delight our customers, and thereby insure our future success.

    Cons

We are also a company that utilizes the latest and greatest technology to help drive and manage our business systems. This is a great advantage as far as it goes, but the steps and protocols involved can be cumbersome, and if not handled effectively, can result in extended lag of response to our customers.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to communicate the vision and direction of Pivot in a clear and concise way, and remember that it's the "people" that make the technology and systems work, and not the reverse.

    Pros

Pivot is a forward thinking, growing company that has great talent and relationships with their clients.

    Cons

It is growing so rapidly that it is difficult to find time to train and mentor.

    Pros

Beautiful showroom, great clients, some very nice coworkers. Beautiful products. Fremont office and warehouse staff are awesome.

    Cons

Lack of proper training to make new employees successful. Some get months of one on one training, while others are thrown to the wolves. Santa Clara office is extremely gossipy, and it is a very juvenile environment. "Wine Wednesdays" are inappropriate for several reasons.

    Advice to Management

Be kind and get to know your employees and look at what is going on around your groups. Notice who is getting picked on, and refuse to tolerate that behavior in an otherwise professional organization. Improve training.

    Pros

Good people here that want to do good work. This is helpful as we face challenges each day. The people that work at Pivot are the reason I enjoy coming to work.

    Cons

It takes a long time for new staff to get up to speed. More industry experience would help them get there faster.

    Advice to Management

Review applicants carefully and ensure they are a good fit for the culture at Pivot. The work can be demanding and need to rely on each other during the tough projects.
