Hey! I’m struggling to choose between working at Unity Technologies as a SWE intern on the XR team, and Pixar as a PUP (technical director) intern. I’m worried about stability as it’s hard to get a return offer form Pixar. I don’t know which job I would enjoy more since Pixar is cool but daunting / competitive and Unity seems more comforting…Unity pays more, but I don’t want to miss out on such a wonderful experience like Pixar which just seems a lot harder to come by..

Pros
People are great. Friendly, reliable, and dependable. Hours are reasonable (your mileage may vary), yes people complain about politics, but they are avoidable if you're an apolitical person. Generally great work culture, fantastic amenities and facilities, at times feels like you're living in a resort. Cafe and cafe staff are superb.
Cons
Promotion is difficult and leadership positions are sparse, requires 5-10 years seniority for promotion. Pay is decent but a little low compared to the rest of tech industry.

Customer Service Representative CSR

I had an interview this afternoon for a customer service position in a call center. The ad was very vague to begin with and at the end of it I felt like I really didn't know anything more about the job. When I asked about the starting pay, which was not published in the ad, they looked incredulous (they were doing on-the-spot hiring today) and then asked me "What's your range?" And only responded with "I think we could meet that." And still never gave me a straight answer. Is this a red flag?

I did my initial interview with a “better established” startup and they said the interview process is 5 interviews. 3 technical then 1 interview with the CEO then another technical interview. Idk about you but that seems like a lot of interviews and they said they want to do it as fast as possible in a short time span. Is this a normal amount of interviews? Is this a red flag? For a full stack software position 4-5 years exp how much salary should be the norm in a hcol area?
