I worked at Pizza Hut full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Cool people, lots of camaraderie, you get to drive around listening to music, and none of the work ever seems like arbitrary corporate nonsense. It's very practical and everybody's allowed to just get on with it. You almost always leave with some cash in your pocket.

    Cons

Tips are unpredictable. Sometimes you go for hours without a single order, sometimes you're completely slammed and it's impossible to get orders out fast enough to make customers happy, both of which suck when you rely on tips. Sometimes something's wrong with the order and you have to tell an upset customer they're SOL for at least half an hour. Lots of wear and tear on car. Lot of employees flake out and leave you covering for them. Hourly pay is less than minimum wage, to be made up for in tips.

    Advice to Management

Go back to at least minimum wage hourly for drivers if you want to keep them onboard for any length of time.

I have been working at Pizza Hut part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent way to work through college -- only part time job that nets you $20-$28 per hour that I could find. Minimal time in store when busy/steady, so on the road and able to listen to talk radio/music while driving and getting paid. Some interesting interactions with certain customers. Low drama, low stress, easy job. Just remember what it is -- a part time job with no real advancement available (RGMs make 25-35k, horrible) -- and you'll be fine.

    Cons

Wear and tear and gas costs on your own vehicle. The delivery charge that the customer pays ($4 per delivery at my store) goes to the company, minus a mileage amount that goes to you. This mileage varies depending on the make, year, and model of your vehicle and always too low. Getting stuck in the store making only minimum wage (no tips) can be frustrating, but it all balances out most days -- stay positive and work hard while in store cooking/cutting/cleaning, and the managers will love you. Simple.

    Advice to Management

Act more like a manager and instruct employees what to do. Many times, some shift managers allow certain employees to stand around and talk/use phone, while the manager themselves are working their butt off...NO! Also, some managers will sit in the office and do nothing for hours while shouting orders...even worse!

    Pros

Tips were good and it is a very nice job if you'd like to listen to music or podcasts while working

    Cons

Lots of customers complain to you if anybody in the kitchen makes a mistake, also had to do lots of kitchen work

    Advice to Management

    None, it's a good job

    Pros

I worked there for 4 years. At times it was great at times it wasn't. It was fun & good people. Pizza was good. Started as a cook ended up assistant manager.

    Cons

Pay should have been better , bad upper management ( area coach ) couldn't get over 30 hours because they didn't want to pay

I worked at Pizza Hut full-time

    Pros

The management here was really great

    Cons

Too busy for the amount of employees there were, no relief for employees, hardly any days off, and would get called in on days off.

I worked at Pizza Hut part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You make a lot of great friends and gain experience of what fast food/serving is like. It is a ery casual environment

    Cons

If you are a customer Service Representative then be prepared to do a lot of the dirty work no one else wants to do. Prep is awful and takes atleast an hour of lifting and no one will help, it's very hard to get a day off let alone a week unless you are the manager's favorite. You will reek like grease and so will your car

    Advice to Management

Divide responsibilities among employees equally, the manager shouldn't repeatedly be allowed to FaceTime a girlfriend in the office the whole shift while the CSR is answering phones, serving customers, and doing prep
