I worked at Planet Beach part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free services included with employment.. that's really all I can say. Sometimes people would leave you a tip. Not much more.

    Cons

Employing younger people will result in laziness and entitlement. I don't know how many time I would be on my hands and knees cleaning because the other employees felt it wasn't part of their job. The owner felt just as entitled as them. You can't expect great things if you don't but some effort, too! Worst place to work!!

    Advice to Management

Look into stores more and figure out what needs to fixed.

    I worked at Planet Beach

    Pros

Very easy job. Nice customers. Flexible for school schedule. Friendly co-workers made the job tolerable.

    Cons

Very little incentive to sell products or get new customers. Ending memberships was very sketchy, a lot of people who don't know they're still getting charged by planet beach even though they tried to cancel several times.

    I worked at Planet Beach

    Pros

The shorter weekend hours were a plus. On Fridays the store closed at 7, Saturdays closed at 4, and Sundays they were only open from 12-4pm.

    Cons

Weren't allowed to sit down while customers were waiting for their appointment. There wasn't much of a security system in place which made me weary with how many random people walked in.

    Advice to Management

I would advise that they allow the sales associates do sit down on a stool while clients are in the waiting room.

I worked at Planet Beach full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Decent pay and potential to make commission. Small group of people working toward a common goal. Get to know the customers very well.

    Cons

Extremely unorganized staff. They may demote you for no reason and when you bring it up they will avoid the question. They go through employees like toilet paper.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together please.

    I worked at Planet Beach

    Pros

The only good thing was use of tanning beds and spray tans for free. It was fun to talk about tanning with customers and try to sell products. Overall easy job. You get commission. hours aren't good because most salons only have a few workers. The product is really amazing and worth what you pay.

    Cons

Horrible pay. Management treated employees like dirt. The leadership was non-existent because we were just talked down too, made fun of, and gossiped about. It was like being in high school. There was no level of professionalism from the employers and the customers. The customers are rude and snobby.

    Advice to Management

Get new management who know how to be proffessional.
