I worked at Planet Hollywood full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Theres honestly nothing positive I can say about this place. They have really gone down hill over the past years.

    Cons

Management has no consideration for what housekeepers have to go through. Want everything done perfect and right to the T. Fires the housekeepers for any little thing. I have been here for 17 years and got fired just because I mis wrote a room number. Complete disrespect for the workers keeping the hotel desirable.

    Advice to Management

Take sometime to follow the housekeepers around. They put up with a lot so you can make a pretty penny. Motivate your employees and have some considerations!

I worked at Planet Hollywood full-time

    Pros

Disney Cast Member Benefits are the only good thing about this job.

    Cons

I waited 3 months after being hired for the job to actually start.
Every pay check I've received has been incorrect, either because of the pay rate being incorrect or not paying me for the hours I'd already worked.
There has been limited on job training and on job feedback which leads to a lot of employees feeling lost and not knowing if they're doing a good job or not until their hours get cut or are fired.
Being told you have a full time position (guaranteeing you at least 30 hrs per week) and then giving you no shifts or scheduling you, then telling you not to come in for those shifts, drastically affects the lifestyle of the employees. They have to eat and live too!
Cutting employees and hours to save money but posting that you're hiring for those same positions is a JOKE!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect as human beings and your company would do so much better. Also no one wants to pay the ridiculous prices. No wonder everything is FAILING!

I worked at Planet Hollywood as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Downtown disney. I dint know how busy it gets because training was RIDICULOUS

    Cons

It takes ONE MONTH to complete the training in 7 shifts, you need to memorize IN DETAIL ingredients of food and drinks as if guests will go and ask the server "hi, before ordering a BURGER can you tell what is it made of?" Its sooo riduculous! Waste of time! When you are a server , TIME AND SHIFTS will make you memorize what you have to memorize! Stop wasting money in tests and give 3 shifts of followings and you will save money in looking for servers every 2 months! Paying for POINTLESS hours upon hours of stupid tests of how many ingredients have the burger and fries and the popular alcoholic drink!

    Advice to Management

Save money to the company and do 3 shifts of following ! We don noot i repeat, we do not need to memorize pointless information that gueste WILL NEVER EVEN ASK.. "Before I order my fries, can you tell me the process of how their made here with the grams of salt and oz of fries i will get in what kind of plate?" Seriously Please!!

    Cons

Horrible managers aka itch managers sending employees to tell other employees what they're doing wrong! You're a manager DO WHAT THEY PAY YOU FOR! stand long hours

    Advice to Management

Be better leaders and look happier it's not our fault you are working minimum wage and working till about 3! Find a better job if you're miserable

I worked at Planet Hollywood full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Discounts on food and merchandise. Decent schedule. New offices are much nicer.

    Cons

Poor leadership, managers at corporate office don't communicate. It seems about politics and "who you know". HR is lacking big time, unapproachable. No career development or promoting from within.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. A pay increase would be most welcome! Make HR friendlier and more approachable instead of having them act as "the police".
