      Pros

Can do some certifications free of cost ( the only pro I could point out, unfortunately)

      Cons

Almost everything! - Pays the lowest salary in the market - Treats the employees like slaves(have never worked somewhere where I was treated this bad way) - send you to clients for shorter periods and rest of your days you waste on bench ( if you get to work 6 months out of 12 you are lucky) - if you are career oriented never try here. It is suitable for old ladies who doesn’t want to grow and to get salary without doing anything) - no career progression at all, no matter how hard you work( though it’s short assignments) - haven’t seen any ‘so called’ managers even talk to their employees - the office is so congested and filled with people on bench. I have no idea why they do even hire these people when there is actually no projects for the existing ones. - HR people consider themselves as CEOs , have never seen HR guys with such attitude! From my past experience with other companies they are the friendliest people in any organisation! - I still think why I opt to join this pathetic organisation!! Wasted my time there.

Planit treats its staff as resources not people

Jul 7, 2019 - Test Analyst in Auckland, Auckland

      Pros

      - They do offer some training if they think it will be good for your Planit 'CV' - Attempt to host social events - Exposure to multiple clients

      Cons

      - They charge out their staff at about 2-3 times the salary of the staff member, meaning the client will get a contractor doing the 1/3 the quality of work that would be expected - The social environment is the definition of a boys club. The conversation is often vulgar and can remember at least one time when the CEO of the company made quite racists comments in regard to an Indian staff member. - They force their staff to pay a 'bond' if they leave within a certain period of time, quoting training costs. - In NZ they take their Kiwisaver contribution out of your pay. This is dubiously legal. - There is very little career progression.

      Good Company

      Pros

      - you get to work with different clients and different domains, which in turn improves skill set - offers training and certifications to employees - always manages to adapt and be in-sync to growing IT capabilities - diverse culture - amazing people; approachable senior mngt - since your a permanent employee, even if there are no client needs and you're stuck on bench, you're still getting paid

      Cons

      - lack of process in terms of 'putting' people in the field - difficult to advance to the next level; minimal career progression/growth - some projects are short-termed that you didn't get enough time to excel or either get too pressured to deliver on a tight deadline - not good overtime policy, i.e. need to tender minimum 3-4 hrs before you can get paid for the hours thereafter (at same rate)

      Not a good company.

      Pros

You get a free beer every week.

      Cons

Not professional, amateur company, start up. No management, no career progression, dead end. Lack of processes, they make up as it goes along. Do not look after their people, not a healthy office space.
