    Pros

Colleagues are very nice and locations are good

    Cons

The managers kept telling you that you need to work longer hours. They don't really care about you. The resource is very limited as well which leads to huge amount of manual work.

    Pros

    Relaxed dress code. Great coworkers.

    Cons

Heavy workload. No recognition. Terrible management. Shady HR department. Very low pay. Rude and unappreciative patients. The patients are the absolute worst. Bad ratio of staff to patients.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like humans. Don't pretend to. Actually do it.

    Pros

Some great people. Smart and dedicated.

    Cons

Unless you are from the right "group", you will be overlooked. Diversity and inclusion is given lip service, and there has been little progress made over the course of many years. Pay is decent, but be prepared for no life, just work. Constant rotating door of upper level management which creates inconsistency and an inability to move work forward. Highly skilled and intelligent employees are not valued or listened to, so there is no innovation. Repressive work environment with culture dictated to employees rather than cultivated and celebrated. Result is walk doesn't match talk.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees. When you ask employees what they think, how they feel - do something about it. Or just stop asking. Treat employees like the dedicated adults that they are. Recognize that pettiness and political backstabbing are hurting the organization.

I worked at Planned Parenthood part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff in the clinics including the managers are great. Fun to work with and they care about the patients.

    Cons

The CEO and higher up managers are horrible. They base your raise on if people no show for appointments. They make it your fault people don't show up. It's getting to be all about money and not staff anymore. They don't make patients take responsibility for anything. You have to bend over backwards for them even if they are an hour late for the appointment. The patients run the clinic not the staff. It does not pay well at all and CMA 's are treated poorly. They treat them like the only thing we can do is a shot and they pay you like it too. It's too bad it's like that. I miss the staff I worked with.

    Advice to Management

Remember your staff are people too. Money isn't everything.

    Pros

Lots of passionate political folks who care about women's reproductive rights.

    Cons

    Political environment
Hierarchy creates an environment of YES people. Things remain stale and inefficient.

    Advice to Management

If you hire people with experience, use their experience to help drive the organization. Embrace change, you need it. Also, stop the petty politics amongst senior management. It's embarrassing to watch.

I worked at Planned Parenthood full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's difficult to address the Pros of working for PP. Some people really do care about what they do, take great care of the patients and love their job. I gained so much experience in my short time with the company. I have made some great friends and connections to help in the future. They will promote you quickly, even if you aren't ready, due to constant turnover (Definitely a pro for some)

    Cons

Turnover was so high, I quickly become a senior employee at barely 3 years. I had so much work to do, I became so stressed it affected my health. Trying to talk with supervisors and human resources didn't help. I would cry in my car most day because I couldn't handle the work load/stress/demands (I was doing 3-4 different jobs on top of my administrative assistant duties) Management is very reactive and will often times hire people to have a warm body, rather than have someone complete the work. The constant protester presence was also very hard; yelling grotesque things at you, leaving nails in the parking lot to damage tires.

    Advice to Management

Clean out all of upper management, starting with Bryan Howard. Most of them have no idea what is happening in Arizona right now.

Horrendous customer service, internal and external.
CEO needs to be deposed, as any other tyrant would be.
