I worked at Planned Parenthood full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Inspiringly smart co-workers and sense of teamwork

    Cons

I had problems with management not giving any notice for the schedule or a predictable schedule, which made it hard to work around.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from your team on how to improve efficiency and manage the schedule more respectfully.

I worked at Planned Parenthood (More than a year)

    Pros

A really great environment with a lot of passionate, like-minded people. Everyone is really invested. Staff is also really knowledgeable because of trainings and professional development opportunities; everyone knows the most current and up to date practices which is great!

    Cons

Poor pay compared to other nonprofits. I went into the job working entry level and felt there was no opportunity for me to move up, which was disappointing because I cared so much about the work done there. I wanted to stay with the company but wasn't making a livable wage. Everyone who works there has to put up with a LOT compared to other workplaces (harassment from protesters, etc..)

    Advice to Management

Invest more in employees and allow for more growth. People who work here do because they care, why not promote more internally and allow for entry level growth opportunities.

I have been working at Planned Parenthood full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Like minded coworkers. Great environment to make friends and do work you're passionate about. A great leaning environment. Does a lot of on site training.

    Cons

Underpaid and extremely overworked. Consistently understaffed and overbooked. You can try to talk to management but ironically they are all about numbers and making money- by putting as many patients on the schedule at the employees cost.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. If they have concerns that they bring up please address them or at least acknowledge they're aware.
