I have been working at Plante Moran full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Decent pay
    - 4 weeks of paid vacation days
    - P&M makes and effort to mentor appropriately

    Cons

    - Long hours, particularly for any staff that are not at the partner status
    - Flexibility comes at a large price (example - if you take a day off, you'll more than likely be squeezing that day that you missed into another part of the week / weekend
    - Often a high demand / high stress environment

    Advice to Management

Either display how you can maintain a healthy work - life balance and be a role model in that regard, or at a minimum, make sure your younger staff are experiencing a work life balance. This is very technical, high volume, high stress work that we do. Not everything is urgent, and not every turnaround time should be at the expense of staff having a personal life.
