    Pros

Best is 4 weeks vacation when you start. Also hours are decent when not at busy season and there's a lot of flexibility.

    Cons

Busy season is difficult but that's with all accounting firms. Compensation is not great either compared to the expected work hours

    Advice to Management

Compensate your employees what they are worth, especially since they are the ones putting in long hours and working in evenings

    Pros

The coworkers are what make this place a great place to work. Management is just like any other management, not a lot of transparency.

    Cons

The benefits are subpar. No paternity leave, healthcare is expensive, lower than average 401k match. Can be very high stress at times.

I worked at Plante Moran full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, investment in employees, free meals on Saturday's during tax season, admin support day was wonderfully recognized

    Cons

Limited opportunities for support staff. Able to expand knowledge but not advance. Outreach programs were difficult to engage staff unless the managing partner was in attendance at certain events.

    Advice to Management

More all office functions that encourage getting to know other departments

I have been working at Plante Moran full-time

    Pros

The cares about its clients and its staff. Integrity is much more than a word, its sincerely what they strive to achieve. I've worked in other places and, honestly, there's no comparison...

    Cons

Compensation is good, but it could be better. Other than that, I really don't have any cons except for those that are standard for the industry: Busy season is definitely busy with long hours. But even then, you're actually encouraged to try and be as balanced as possible. (And they really mean it!)

    Advice to Management

Continue to value clients & staff and look for ways to increase compensation. It's less expensive to retain staff than to lose some of them to other companies because of compensation.
