    I worked at Plantronics full-time

    Pros

Great place to work if you don't want to work hard.

    Cons

It's easy to get bored. Work is not challenging.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Plantronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a great place to relax and chill out if you joined here in a senior position. The salary is OK. There is hardly any work. You wait here till you approach retirement.

    Cons

The management is terrible. They treat you like a slave if you joined there as an entry level employee. No promotion or career growth. The firmware manager at Austin runs the facility like a dictator, uses racist terms like n word and other racial epithets he created.

    Advice to Management

If you actually do not care about the employees do not pretend as if you do.

    I worked at Plantronics full-time

    Pros

People can be very easy going and welcoming. Shifting towards being a company full of younger employees.

    Cons

Much of the staff is much older and while I respect their experience, it can be a hindrance with an evolving market and changing consumer environment.

    Advice to Management

Instead of shortchanging employees to reach your goal

    Pros

Good people, culture, business consistency, location (Santa Cruz!)

    Cons

Slow pace, 'bets' are not really bets, hard for company to expand beyond comfort zone

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing, do more of what you are not doing.

    Pros

Nice people overall. Very lovely campus.

    Cons

People that have been there for too long are wielding way too much undo power. Lack of professionalism among colleagues. Impossible to navigate purchasing, AP and contract functions. Low wages.

    Advice to Management

    Clean house in corporate purchasing.

I have been working at Plantronics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The environment looks great, walking to any office of Plantronics does show you they have invested in creating a nice and functional office space. Smarter Working if your manager allows it helps creating a flexible working week that is necessary with the heavy workload of global functions. So far the products Plantronics has manufactured are nice, functional and still beat the competition.

    Cons

European Leadership is outdated, their vision and mentality doesn't align with the work force and even as the company is moving into a global way of working the so named directors in Hoofddorp try to run their own principles. Same counts for HR who unfortunately isn't supporting company policies but rather personal opining and inconsistencies as it comes to equal treatment of employees. Due to restructures and layoffs the workload is rapidly increasing for various employees resulting in a offset in work life balance.

    Advice to Management

Senior Leadership in the US really needs to step in and grasp a clear picture on the day to day activities of the "leaders" in Hoofddorp. Focus on really becoming a Great Place to Work. Be transparent on where the company is going and what the focus should be. It's a same seeing a lot of colleagues leaving for similar reasons but all this feedback doesn't seemed heard by sr. leadership.
