I worked at Plasma-Therm as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I found the engineering staff to be generally willing to assist and share their insight.

    Cons

I was not there long. Didn't have any bad experiences myself.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Plasma-Therm full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has a good technology and is located in a nice area.

    Cons

Poor Sr. management. The company has high revenue year after year and does not make a profit.
The Sr. management delivers the message "we are all in it" to make people work hard but the message is not true: They will lay people off so they can keep their fatty salaries when they could find other solutions such as temporary equal % pay cuts.
Poor communication with customer sometimes made the co. loose business.

    Advice to Management

    Take management skills classes

Great environment, helpful colleagues, overall a decent place to work

    Cons

Salaries are lower than average and not too much excitement going on a daily basis

    Advice to Management

Very traditional and not modern enough in approach, would be nice to have more flexibility
