    Advice to Management

I have been working at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, benefits, and policies. Most departments in the Auto Inergy division are run extremely well.

    Cons

Some upper management (director level) are incredibly unprofessional and completely lack people skills. Firing people simply because they aren't a "yes-man/woman" is not healthy for the workplace, but it's something the company turns a blind eye too.

    Advice to Management

Despite how good someone might seem on paper, if they don't have the soft skills to have people WANT to work for them, there will be issues. If a department is experiencing a higher turnover rare comparatively, find and rectify the problem before more issues arise.

I have been working at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The salary, the benefits are slightly above average for the industry

    Cons

Management fall well short of their circumstances at all levels, something almost unheard of for this industry. There is no commitement to training, teamwork, support The group at the Troy headquarters is like a group of individuals working as individuals and often against each other

    Advice to Management

The management currently at the Troy location is simply not able to perform their duties at almost any level which has made the place be a revolving door of Employees. Advise: A whole new management group of people is needed as the current one simply cannot rise to any occasion

I have been working at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good benefits, nice employees, opportunity to grow and travel.

    Cons

Everything comes at a cost. If you are not a manager's favorite - start looking for another job NOW. The Customer Center is a mess, as is the HR department. Turn over is high. Stay away from these departments - half of the employees look tired and overworked, while the other half treats you like they are better than you.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your friends. Hire based on quality background skills and experience. Stop letting HR into every meeting - they are controlling everything. Nobody trusts them and this makes it difficult to speak up during meetings. Dry cleaning and wearing jeans on Friday is not work/life balance. Listen to employees without making them fearful of how their feedback will be taken

    Advice to Management

Talent drain due to strong market. Retention objectives need focused attention as well as adding capable employees in over worked areas.
