I worked at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pay and benefits were above average

    Cons

Lack of training and development, unfriendly work environment, unrealistic expectations

    Advice to Management

Treat those under you how you would want to be treated. Develop your employees, and help them to become self sufficient. Don't let them drown by lack of training.

I worked at Plastic Omnium full-time for less than a year

    Pros

My boss who was based in South Carolina was great. Air conditioning plant. Brand new facility. Pay and benefits were good.

    Cons

Everyone there only cared about themselves. Not a great team environment. HR doesn't help you succeed. Set up for failure working here. Place is a joke. Worked my butt off and no appreciation

    Advice to Management

How about help your employees succeed instead of trying to find a way to get rid of them.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay and benefits are the only reason to work here.

    Cons

No more direct hires for production. All hiring is done through temporary service. Expect to be employed as a temp for at least 2-5 years before before being offered direct employment. Excessive overtime. Six to seven days a week. 50 to 60 hours per week. Have to use vacation days to get a weekend off.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like people instead of robots. Increase workforce so employees are not required to work 6 to 7 days a week or 50+ hours. This used to be a great place to work.

I have been working at Plastic Omnium full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Highest market share in their industry. Continuous growth, good pay and benefits. Lean management with plenty of potential for advancement. Global presence and foreign service opportunities.

    Cons

Somewhat understaffed, plenty of extra hours needed to keep up with workload however no financial reward for 60+ hr weeks.

    Advice to Management

Talent drain due to strong market. Retention objectives need focused attention as well as adding capable employees in over worked areas.
