    Pros

Everyone that I met while with Plastipak, were very nice. Company has advanced along way in Safety, Innovation and have expanded well. My pay was excellent, and the benefits were also very good.

    Cons

I traveled all the time. Could not get a position close to home......my position was eliminated due to head count reduction.

I worked at Plastipak Holdings full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being able to pick up everyone else's slack.

    Cons

Pay, mandatory ot at straight pay no time and a half, no opportunity to advance, Hr is a complete joke... Plant manager is only worried about production while his machines fall apart constantly. A handful of the guys in the maintenance dept are stand up guys. You will do many other people's jobs because they're to busy on their phone or sleeping on their 15 minute break.

    Advice to Management

    Replace yourselves!

I worked at Plastipak Holdings (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some people are nice. Glassdoor says I have to enter at least 5 words for "pros", so I wrote this sentence.

    Cons

Everyone works under fear, across all departments. People only look out for themselves (as they probably should). People are afraid of the CEO. Man driven company! You can work as hard as you want, but if you're a woman, good luck being anything other than an assistant or low-level person on the totem pole. If you're ever given an opportunity to interview and advance, Plastipak will make promises and not follow through. HR will not be transparent with you, as much as you try to reach out to figure out what happened/ the status of your advancement. If the CEO says "no", you're chances are ruined. Notice the company is full of older individuals who are afraid to leave. Turnover is EXTREMELY high for younger people because they get fed up with the little opportunity to advance.

    Advice to Management

Stop making "promises" to people. Don't promise anything to people until you have a formal job offer in front of someone. Pay attention to your employee needs. And when you get a younger person who is willing to work late nights to better their career, let that be a red flag to you that this person is worth an investment. Don't hire temps and keep them for 7-10 months because you have better things to worry about. Treat people like people!

I have been working at Plastipak Holdings full-time

    Pros

Work is generally rewarding, and allows for travel across the country, and occasionally internationally. Good job to start in the industry, however the salary is not competitive to other positions with the same title.

    Cons

Quality is the only group that receives no bonus/profit sharing. Travel tends to happen is large bursts, 2-4 weeks at a time. Individuals with family, or small children are people who would likely not enjoy the job

    Advice to Management

pay competitively, and actually complete feedback for employees every 6 months as was told to employees when they started.

I worked at Plastipak Holdings full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Once you get used to the split schedule it's good. Take 2 days off end-up with a week take 5 days end-up with almost 2 weeks off.

    Cons

Pay sucks sallery no time and a half long hours 12hr shift. If someone calls out or is on vacation they force you to cover or your witten up. Slave drivers. Can't even take a full half hour for lunch. East Long meadow Mass.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate the hard workers not the ones who kiss your rear all the time. Because it's the hard workers who'll make sure shifts run smoothly.
