I worked at Play-Well TEKnologies part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I liked Play-Well because it was fun to work with kids. The projects were easy to assemble and therefore it was easy to help the kids build if they were stuck. Most of the counselors I worked with were very nice. It was a good summer job for a teenager.

    Cons

As an assistant, sometimes you would get treated as less than the counselors by students, parents, or sometimes even the counselor. Often times while at work I felt I was doing equal, if not more work then the counselor, and getting paid much less.

I worked at Play-Well TEKnologies part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours when in school and good pay for a part time position. It was really fun to work with the students and I enjoyed the amount of freedom there was to create.

    Cons

Sometimes camps or classes would get cancelled and if you are depending on this position for the hours that can be a big problem. Also if you arent feeling well enough to teach there felt like a lot of pressure to be available anyway at least during the busy summers.

    Advice to Management

Have a backup plan for sub coverage if someone cant teach and give as much notice as possible for potential cancelled programs.
