I worked at Plaza Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Solid organization that generally cares about their employees, especially the CEO. Employees generally given enough rope to be the masters of their own destiny. With few exceptions, Upper Management is generally approachable and will listen to your thoughts and ideas.

    Cons

Recent change in Ownership is slowly changing the company culture from a "mom and pop" attitude to a much more corporate attitude. But this was to be expected. Mid-Level to Lower-Upper Level Employees can be pigeon holed into a roll with little chance of promotion - Upper Management definitely has favorites.

    Advice to Management

As difficult as it may seem, don't plug a person into a roll purely based on company need. If that employee doesn't really want that position, they may become resentful and look for other opportunities.

I worked at Plaza Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High salaries and bonuses. Weekly paycheck. Gym discount. Health Insurance and 401K with no waiting period.

    Cons

No integrity or values. Everyone throws one another under the bus. Condones and rewards bad behaviors. No real issues are confronted. Losing clients and money on jobs. Dead weight not contributing. Quality employees leave.

    Advice to Management

No point unless there is a regime change.

I worked at Plaza Construction (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team and people. They currently have great projects, especially in the Miami area, and are looking to steadily expand their reach.

    Cons

They do not invest as much in technology or employee training as they should. Their competitors have this advantage as some of them offer online and in-person courses.

    Advice to Management

Invest more on training and technology for better efficiency of workers.
