I have been working at Plexus full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Plenty of overtime, lots of team work, feeling good about the work you do for the end user.

    Cons

Too much downtime waiting for parts, waiting for engineers to do their job i.e. engineering change orders, assembly build instructions, correcting mistakes in their assembly build instructions.

    Advice to Management

Try to be more proactive and less reactive as far as our customers are concerned.

I worked at Plexus full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Collegial atmosphere and not a super demanding job. Nice new manufacturing facility in Neenah.

    Cons

Where are the women? I had no role models as there are only a handful of women in high positions.

    Advice to Management

Look to hire a diverse workforce. Seek out different people with different backgrounds, it will pay off.

I worked at Plexus (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of opportunity for cross training, good benefits. Grew a lot in my time with the company. Was able to move up multiple positions. Always something to learn. Very lean/CI oriented.

    Cons

Work/life balance. Too much OT to keep up spirits of staff without burning them out. Hard to keep entry level employees when they are paid so little to do skilled positions.

    Advice to Management

I know there was a raise to minimum pay of entry level employees, but consider raising it again. Considering the end user for the products, the skill levels are due the appropriate pay.

    I worked at Plexus full-time

    Pros

Good company to gain experience. Also lots of overtime to make up for the low pay.

    Cons

Low pay and no room for advancement . Management does not appreciate good employees and there is constantly new employees being trained which leads to slowing down the process.

I have been working at Plexus full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Plexus has some of the hardest working, most caring and dedicating employees that you could ever ask to work with.

    Cons

Management has been trying to downsize their workforce at all levels and is expecting their employees to manage more and more tasks to the point where it has become overwhelming and impossible to manage for many employees. It is not uncommon to hear the phrase daily "management just doesn't listen." I love being busy at work, but being so busy that you are going to work with a feeling of dread because you are so overwhelmed each day continuously is not okay.

    Advice to Management

Start listen to your staff, you are going to keep losing people as you trying to over task them. The numbers don't work, something isn't working, and it is going to remain broken there and the ship is going to sink if you you figure it out and quick.

I have been working at Plexus full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I love the people I work with. The benefits are okay. Usually the Group Leads are flexible if you need time off. Overall I've been therefor 10+ years.

    Cons

Excessive overtime, but not every week. Sometimes you get overwhelmed with work and no help. Then when you get everything done upper management gets all the credit. Poor planning between customers and production.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the bottom line production people.

    Advice to Management

    None
