    Pros

    Discounted food
    Fun work environment
    flexible scheduling
you will forever smell like wings
most of the customers are nice

    Cons

Management was sexist, on the menu tests if girls were to get about a 60 or up they would let them pass it but if a guy got a 69 they would still fail him, I passes my menu test but it was sad to see how they were mistreating others.
Also, the management is biased with who gets tables, people who are management's favorites will get several tables while people who aren't as well liked will get 1 or 2 tables.

    Advice to Management

The menu test isn't that important chill-out
    Also, learn some respect

I worked at Pluckers Wing Bar full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Cool vibe and good people. Everyone was basically competent and if they weren't they were put in the easiest positions, as it should be.

    Cons

Can't handle those 3am late nights. Cramped seating area made serving a pain, especially considering the sometimes rowdy groups we had.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work hiring competent individuals and placing them in positions in which they can have the best chance of success.

    Pros

Always busy so you make great money. Room for advancement. Nice atmosphere especially if you are a sports fan! Nice.

    Cons

Sometimes too busy to keep up with side work. Tests were annoying. Lots of turnover but I guess that is pretty normal for the industry.

    Advice to Management

    More table touches.

    Pros

Fast Money, but remember, all serving Jobs have that pro

    Cons

They make you take these tests until you receive a 100%, you're not even making tips until you can pass all of them. They have you do follow shifts where you do all the work but you don't get the tips. These exams are absolutely ridiculous. Most of the employees will even tell you they cheated. After I left, I got a job at Cheesecake Factory, which is knows for their large menu AND I BANK. Don't let them tell you they do these exams so you know your menu and you seem more professional, its really just to keep their high turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Change your high turnover rate and don't be so harsh on the exam scores

I worked at Pluckers Wing Bar part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The staff is incredibly friendly and team based. Pluckers does a great job of hiring people who can work with their team well. This sense of support helps ease the stress of such a busy restaurant. Management is also VERY available during shifts to help with customer complaints and other issues. They are well trained to resolve conflict and deal with a variety of situations effectively and efficiently. You also get food discounts and [if you're a driver or server] decent pay.

    Cons

Pluckers corporate interference in making specific rules apply to all locations damages workflow in certain locations. They also institute incredibly strict rules that make things harder than they need to be for the managers that have to enforce them, and for the employees that have to follow them.
Management scheduling was inconsistent and required two weeks availability with a one week schedule. There were very few exceptions when something one week down the line surprises you and you can't work. If there was a mistake on management's end with scheduling when you requested a day off, you would sometimes still be expected to come in.
At one point, management attempted to "re-distribute" a tip from a large, non-catered order from the server to the kitchen staff.
You work long, late nights. Closing shifts will have you there until 4AM. Full-time employees working 14-hour shifts were not uncommon. You will also not get a chance to slow down on your shift outside of your 30-minute break so be prepared for non-stop work.

    Advice to Management

Take more time to understand the needs and requests of both your employees and remember that they're employees with their own issues outside of the restaurant.

    Pros

Food Discounts, Friendly Staff(after you been there a while), Nice Pay,

    Cons

Long Hours, Only get a break if double or closing, Childish Managers, Overwork the hardworkers, too strict with rules, too many LONG tests at beginning of job which I have seen turn MANY people away. If you dont pass the test, you dont get the job.
most people leave in the first couple of weeks or have been there forever, there is no inbetween.

    Advice to Management

Calm down about getting onto the little things that empolyees do wrong and look at the big picture, if you complain to every person about every little thing it eventually turns them away and will leave from micromanaging.
