    Pros

Easy to advance, great company culture, Open to changes in policy, Fun work environment

    Cons

Rude guests, Long & late hours, inconsistencies among peers

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop and expand. With such limited markets there is 0 chance to rise above the general manager position

I worked at Pluckers Wing Bar (More than a year)

    Pros

-Flexible schedule when restaurant is fully staffed.

-Plenty of opportunity to get promoted into trainer and management positions.

    Cons

    -Forced to work major holidays.

-The quality of each shift is very dependent on the manager on duty.

-Until you get promoted to a training position you are the lowest on the totem pole being forced to help with all other employees regardless of if you were trained in that position or not.

    Advice to Management

Hold every accountable for the jobs they are scheduled to perform. If a server isn't cleaning their tables or providing adequate services then you should talk with them to solve the issue and not get "lower priority" staff to pick up their slack.

I worked at Pluckers Wing Bar full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free meals when you work doubles, which is like once a week at least.

Every $33 in alcohol sales, $1 go to the bar in tip out.

    Cons

Typical service industry job, minus the good clientele. You get college students who can't even tip 10% and minorities *ahem* who like chicken, drink only water and don't tip at all. I don't understand why they come out to eat at a restaurant and not tip but demand excellent service. Pathetic excuse.

"Trainers" by the book and expect you to be.

Only a 3 table rotation (good luck when you have someone stay in your section for 3 hours for their game)

If you're a dinner shift, you'll get home by 3am-4:30am.

No discount at any of their establishments.

You can't sign up for health insurance until a year of full time employment.

If UT football wins a home game, they reward "5 free wings" at their game. So if it was a home game, you have all these cheap people trying to claim their wings that same day and then thus "back up the kitchen" then you get hangry customers who are complaining about a 45-60 minute wait on their meal. Can't help it. It just ALWAYS happens. Then they take it out on the server and leave you a couple of dollars on a 60-90 tab, or even threaten to leave on the tab.

Employee shirts are $35 each. No discount.

Once you work at pluckers, you're never allowed to drink more than 2 "legal" serving drinks. The 34oz beer counts as 1. If you're caught, fired. Even on your day off.

    Advice to Management

None. They do an excellent job running things.

The server tests are a little bit much but what do you expect. It's a service job. If you don't know the food, you shouldn't work there but the grading policy is really strict. If you get one ingredient wrong, it's wrong in general.

I worked at Pluckers Wing Bar full-time

    Pros

    -fun coworkers
    -pretty easy menu
    -busy weekends
    -can make okay money

    Cons

    -over worked with doubles
    -closing duties
    -rarely get lunch breaks

    Advice to Management

Think about the schedules for people working full time! Stop giving them doubles. Also, make the system better for people who aren't closing. Many servers get away with not doing their duties, leaving it all for the closers.

Lots of drug use by employees and management
    Bad pay
    Unsafe location (several robberies)

    Advice to Management

    Be nicer to your staff

    Pros

Lots of hours, good pay for industry. Free meals every shift.

    Cons

Open late, Don't leave till 5 a.m. in the morning some weekends. schedule isn't always great. Sometimes you work till one a.m. and your scheduled seven hours later at 8 a.m. the following day.

    Advice to Management

Most of my managers were great. There is always exceptions to which I would say don't sit in the office and help pick up the workload.
