I worked at Plug Smart full-time

    Pros

It's a small company so you have a lot of opportunities to refine a lot of processes and drive the company to new goals. If you get along with senior management you will love it here. Unfortunately, you are also probably not a nice person.

    Cons

Most of senior management is bad. They don't have much regard for your personal life. I feel like my soul was getting sucked away at this company. They don't seem like they do honest business- not tax fraud or anything crazy like that. They just feel sleezy.

    Advice to Management

Become nicer people. Don't stretch your employees so thin and expect them to put company over life. Pay your employees better with some of that extra income.

I have been working at Plug Smart for more than a year

    Pros

Fast growing company, every day a different experience, will be exposed to all facets of business. Good mix of young and energetic engineers with experienced management team. Good variety of ESCO type projects. Happy clients with a lot of referral business.

    Cons

Young company that doesn't quite have all the tools/training that big companies do. If you need lots of structure this may not be best fit

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in systems and tools as company grows...

I have been working at Plug Smart full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The everyday people that actually do all the work are great and the company has so much potential.

    Cons

Employees are extremely underpaid and under-valued, you are fully expected to work 50-60 hour weeks and get work done on the weekends, although they claim they want you to spend time with your family. The reality is all they care about is revenue, not one thing else.

    Advice to Management

Realize what you have before it is gone. Treat your employees with respect and show them that they are a valued asset of the company. Have fun every once in awhile.
