I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time

    Pros

Great vision, architecture and product that works, finally. Poised for growth in all primary areas focus (direct sale and partnerships) with razor sharp focus on planning and execution. Great start up culture that evolves for growth.

    Cons

Location in Palo Alto may be challenging based on where you commute from. Avoid peak hours.

    Advice to Management

Maintain agility to stay ahead of market changes. Limit partnerships to key partners.

Well funded, excellent leadership team, innovative solutions, talent

    Cons

It is a startup! It is amazing, but not everything comes easy like at big companies

    Advice to Management

Keep hiring talented people to help grow this great company!

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Truly some of the most dedicated and hardest working teams I have had the opportunity to work with in my career. The engineering and development groups are amazing - customers and partners tell me the same thing. Always nice to be backed up in the field. What I am seeing is that this area of technology is emerging and being closely watched in the industry. It is also pretty exciting to show our new products to customers...

    Cons

If you have not worked in a start up before, you will have to adjust. Large Company work habits don't fit here. Bring a solid work ethic and leave the ego at the door. The other thing I would tell you is that things change. In the interview process I could not believe the resumes and backgrounds being assembled here, some pretty tenured guys. I think that is why the change and new products are rolling out now with...

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time

    Pros

This is a standard silicon valley story with a real technology invention as the "seed". A great invention being turned into products that solve customer's problems. Companies like this start small, and through increasing adoption by customers that have the challenges being addressed, the company grows. At 100 employees, employees wear a number of hats and each can have huge impact on the long-term company. It feels like...

    Cons

With the feeling of important, comes explicit accountability. People that have worked in large companies need to transition from being just a "small cog in the wheel", to that of being a "BIG cog in the wheel". Everything matters and sometimes it feels crazy urgent. No where to 'hide' like there is in big companies.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on strategy planning, and remain focused on prospect's problems. The technology invented by founders is pretty amazing, so the challenge is to execute (only) those portions of it that solve today's nagging customer problems. Continue to execute deeply and completely, crossing the T's and dotting the I's.

I worked at Pluribus Networks for less than a year

    Pros

The main thing that Pluribus has going for it is the product concept. It, also, has a great service department, unfortunately the rest is not as positive.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the product never worked. I had 6-7 POCs in my territory and the product didn't make it through any of them--Pluribus was thrown out all of them. Even the few accounts that Pluribus touts as customers are having severe stability issues with weekly/monthly outages. If this were a football team, they would fire the whole coaching staff. Frankly, this might be the best solution. Pluribus on paper...

    Advice to Management

Stabilize product, Figure out where you fit in the industry, Pay sales properly, Stop twisting employee's arm to put up positive social media reviews. I would have been great to have his place works out, even a little bit. Oh yes, It might also be a good idea to stop bad mouthing former employees.

I worked at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The support team is lead by some one competent, when your customer has an issue, they will get help. The founders are some really smart people. If you like a fridge full of beer and soda this is the place for you.

    Cons

The management team is lacking a moral compos. They have no problem is misrepresenting the truth. The have little regard or respect for customer. Customer's requests for features are taking as a choir they rather not do. They never seem to be in a hurry to get back to customer's questions. They drag out the most basic of responses to questions to weeks to mouths. Managements holds no one accountable. They only look...

    Advice to Management

The Board needs to look at the go-to-market strategy. They need to figure out why execution is lacking and make the needed changes to fix the problem.

    Pros

Great startup environment. Lots of learning opportunities, autonomy if you want to work on something you can. Supportive and merit-based advancement as people who work hard do more and get more. Although everyone works hard, people do get to have dinner regularly. Most employees including founders and management have families and young kids, so environment is very understanding to work where you need to to get your stuff...

    Cons

Like any startup the work is challenging and you work harder than in a large company. But it's more fun and fullfulling, but everyone who chooses to work in startups knows that.

    Advice to Management

Keep the environment like it is. Keep adding more smart people who fit into the Pluribus culture.

    Pros

+ talented team members who are more than willing to mentor you + you'll probably meet some of the most amazing coders + lots of potential for the company + stocked snacks + flexible time

    Cons

This is a startup, so expect long hours and wearing many hats. You need to be good at prioritize your times so you can get things done here. Sometimes, it's OK to say no.

    Advice to Management

Invest in people as much as the product! There are people working really hard behind the scenes on nitty-gritty projects, even though they are more than capable of implementing new features, make sure they get recognition as well. Catered lunch is a standard at all startups in silicon valley these days, I am surprise that we still have not offered free lunches.

I have been working at Pluribus Networks

    Pros

Worked there for 2.5 years, and enjoyed almost every minute of it. It's an environment that let's you set your own lifestyle - some folks left early due to child care and others stayed well into the evening. Many weeks there is a get together, and plenty of beverages in the fridge for an evening drink and chat with a founder or key engineer or two. The product is revolutionary and almost everyone understands the big...

    Cons

It's a silicon valley startup so you need to be at the top of your game and execute well to earn the respect of your coworkers and help the company meet its goals.
