I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pluribus has a great team working on very cool technology. Management is supportive of getting things done, meaning there is no bureaucracy getting in the way. Team members are supportive of each other's efforts. We encourage each other, help each other, and celebrate our achievements. There is no end in sight to the interesting, challenging, and fun work to be done. We have achieved great things and have plans for...

Parking is an issue at the corporate office! But there is free valet parking when the lot fills up so it's not that bad :-)

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Ditch the traditional thinking.. lot of innovative ideas, great individuals. I've not seen Exec, PM, engg, dev, sales etc.. teams work so closely in any org.. probably because its still considered a startup.. but never noticed any friction b/w the teams..everyone seems to help each other and take any kind of feedback positively and work towards a common target.

    Cons

Longer commute to work (Palo Alto) than I wish to .. but eh.. wth.. I like being in office :)

    Advice to Management

    keep rocking!

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The best part of working at Pluribus is the stimulating environment. If you have great ideas and are good at executing them, there is absolutely no limit to what you can do. The folks are friendly and the management (unlike some other places I have worked at) actually seems to know what they are talking about :) It's a great mix demographically as well - something that matters to this female engineer. Instead of working...

    Cons

Not much so far. The usual start up challenges apply - you have to be prepared for longer hours and tight deadlines, but nothing impossible and not all the time. The founders demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and if you are not prepared to give it your best shot, you might find it hard to survive.

    I worked at Pluribus Networks

    Pros

The owner of the company treats his people like family. I think the company atmosphere over all is wonderful. The Project Manager exercises a lot of effort to keep balance with his people, while juggling a busy schedule. The PM was/is always professional with a great attitude. There seems to be great comradery within the corporate company office. The medical benefits are great , the company picnics are nice!

    Cons

Limited opportunity possibly due to contract limitation and awards. As a previous reviewer stated, "Opportunity for advancement is limited." Even the opportunity for a lateral move is limited or even a career change within the company. Some places have a high turn over rate due.

    Advice to Management

Pluribus would bode well to work with its clients. Personnel/contractors need continued training to keep up with the client expectations. Since this doesn't happen often, your turn over rate will continue and increase overall. Consider not sending the what looks like the exact same Christmas card year after year. Change the company functions for variety. The picnics are nice, but it's the same thing year after year....

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Exceptional technology, great vision and very motivated, supportive, hard working crew. If you are an A Player who actually gets things done and roll up your sleeves and do real work you will probably be successful at Pluribus and have a good time while you are doing it. Some of the best and brightest in networking and virtualization are here.

    Cons

Like any startup - long hours, fast pace, limited resources, insane demands, some facilities challenges etc. You have to roll up your sleeves and get it done. Slackers, whiners, no-ops and those used to just surfing the web or those who have trouble executing hands-on will have some challenges adjusting.

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus on leading edge technology and continue to polish and refine the customer experience.

I worked at Pluribus Networks full-time

    Pros

Seems to work well for guys and former Aruba employees. Product is a great concept, but plagued with delays and setbacks.

    Cons

Too many to list, but this is not a place for intelligent females. The co-founder and (newly demoted) COO had no prior experience running a business, yet he is confident he knows everything and is extremely rude if suggestions for any type of improvement are made. He is also hostile and retaliatory.

Unfortunately not all hires are good hires. The people may be good, but they may not be a good match for the organization and sometimes despite best efforts on both sides things just don't work out. Normally if we come to the mutual understanding that we don't have a good match we ...

I have been working at Pluribus Networks full-time for more than a year

      Pros

I have been at Pluribus for over a year now, and for someone just fresh out of college, I could not have got a better start anywhere else. An extremely congenial work environment coupled with people who go out of their way to help out. In fact, every desk has an expert on their own right in the field they're working on.

      Cons

Being a startup, there is a lot of work to be done. This is not a place for you if you not used to pushing yourself mentally.
