    Pros

District has strong commitment to education. Strong central office team. Beautiful new HS building. Lots of professional development opportunities. Excellent health insurance.

    Cons

Huge town geographically makes big district feel disconnected at times. Disconnect with building leadership and staff at times. Salaries are low compared to surrounding towns.

    Advice to Management

Look at ways to continue to support new teachers. Salaries are an issue in retaining high quality younger staff because they can make more money in other districts

    Pros

Caring, supportive building and system administrators; intelligent, engaged, funny, creative, friendly colleagues; the most talented, supportive Head Teacher I've met in 30 years of teaching; courteous, cooperative, friendly students who are, for the most part engaged and responsible; and a state-of-the art new facility - one could not hope for a better work environment.

    Cons

Although I prefer it, some teachers did not like the Block schedule, which was new to PNHS in 2015-2016. Again, although I never had a problem, some teachers and students complained about a lack of parking spaces.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing - you do it well!

    Pros

    Awesome coworkers
    Flexibility with teaching curriculum
    Facilities upgrades are in progress
    Good professional development

    Cons

Salaries are low compared to surrounding districts
    Many admins are extreme micromanagers
Culture of mediocrity in the town has seeped into the school system

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees more to do what is right for the children of the town. Keep up the good work around professional development also.
